need downpipe advice

ok im new to the world of turbos and i may sound like an idiot but bare with me here. when you buy a downpipe does the downpipe already have a catless test pipe on it? or do you still need to get a test pipe and the downpipe to be completely catless? its just confusing cus i looked at the ATP catless downpipe on streetunit and it looks like a piece that looks exactly like a test pipe is part of the downpipe. any advice is usefully, thanks for the help!!!

unless you go with Corksport. all the other dps for the 6 are full dps which is the upper and lower(tp) section of the dp in one piece

^ +1. Debate on whether one piece or two piece design is better is generally useless. As long as the product is well made and has at least one flex joint somewhere in the system for assistance in alignment and install and to curb vibration, and also as long as fitment is good so there are no leaks, I see no preference as to whether one piece or two piece is best.

This is a very worthwhile mod and will work well, even on stock tune.

There will be some specific issues regarding install (PITA), etc., but that does vary widely in individual experience.

I have an MS3, so you'll want to check with MS6 owners regarding any specific issues. I can say this: with a good intake and with a catless 3 inch dp/rp into the stock CBE you can knock almost an entire FIVE SECONDS off of the 40-120 mph times compared to a completely stock car (at least on the MS3 maybe a bit less on the MS6 due to higher curb weight). That is a huge performance gain for a modest investment.

thanks for all the advice, it was really helpful. i just needed to make sure i wasnt going to buy a dp and a tp and it end up not needed the tp haha.
