Default Need Help!

Ok guys, so after finally finishing my install, the car starts fine but randomly has a sputter/Knock. When I say random, it's random. It'll idle just fine for a few minutes then there she goes, I can get on the gas and rev to about 3k and same thing. Attached are some logs and Im going to try to upload a video. What I installed today; Ebay long DP, and Racebuilt Manifold (thats what I installed today).

Other mods include; ATP HPFP, Cobb SRI+TIP, CX FMIC (Everything was running fine with these mods which is before what I installed today).

To me it sounds like a fueling problem but not quite sure. When I give it gas, there's a weird metal clinging sound that seems to come from the turbo/DP area which I was unable to isolate. No codes!!! Ill see if I can upload a video.

I'm away from a pc right now so I can't look at your logs, but it sounds like an exhaust leak. Check your manifold and downpipe. Look for any signs of carbon where it shouldn't be.

Chances are, you are dumping a ton a fuel.

I thought the same thing but on that log (stage_1), the LTFT are -4.84 and when the stutter occurs the AFR's shoot up to 15.27. Wouldn't this indicate a really lean condition?

sounds like an intake leak hows your afr, then go look at your trims if its adding fuel that's it
it will correct for a small leak but will run wackey

Well its reducing fuel. Im pulling all pre turbo and changing the dp gasket to see if that helps. Like i said before, theres a weird sound coming from Turbo/dp area. Almost like something is in the turbo, I just inspected it and found nothing. Im hoping its a shitty gasket

Here's the link to youtube of the knock from the valve cover for those who dont want to download the file. Someone please give me an idea of what it could be. The motor only has 46K on the clock so I really doubt some bad lifters..... ?

I only heard a click right at 5 second and one at 14. At acceleration I only hear throttle tip in rattle from HPFP. (few threads on that here) Is that the sound you speak of?

On the other vid I definitely hear the popping sound from the exhaust. Have you tried uninstalling recent mods and making sure nothing got stuck inside the DP area? eBay DP's are usually okay but there are a few bad ones out there.

How far are you from Columbus or ATL? Are you driving your car at all? Could you make it down so we can help figure it out?

I removed the DP and changed the gasket. I was reading around and found alot of people didnt like the gasket that came with the ebay DP. Swapped that out and took everything off pre turbo and cleaned it. Re-installed, Re-tightened all nuts to the mani(I did not remove the exhaust mani) and Dp. Started the car and let it idle for 10-15 mins. This time I did not get the poping but still had a weired sound which I think is the pump. What was really driving me nuts is that rattle, I took the pump off and long story short I was raging and broke the damn thing. I got a new one coming in with stock internals (ordered another set of autotechs). What I will do is install the new pump and let the car idle to see if the ratle goes away aswell as the knocking. The car is at my friends personal shop (leisure shop). She's been sitting there for the past 3 weeks!!!

Im roughly 4hours south of ATL.

Did you put a screwdriver on the valve cover to be sure that's where the noise is coming from?

I did, the knocking is coming from the #4 area which is the closest to the pump. This is why I took the pump out. Mind you it was runing perfectly fine before install of exhaust mani and DP.

No, the tip in rattle is not the concern. It's really hard to hear if your not standing infornt of the car. What I am going to do is install the pump this weekend (Friday hopefully) and see what happens before I press the panick button to get some guys down here. Ill keep you guy's posted.

Ok so far I've narrowed it down to the turbo. I was talking to @ms6mil and we talked how the ebay DP bel mouth might be a tad bit small to where it causing the internal waste gate flapper to not properly open and close. I will confrim this once I remove the DP and inspect the components for any abnormal scratching/wear the next hour or so
