Default OEM transmission fluid

Anyone know what the name, or part number, is for the original fill transmission fluid for the ms3?

I am going to swap out the fluid and I am probably going with the motocraft, but I would like to check out the specs on the oem fluid. So far the only thing I have found was some Mazda 4x4 diff fluid.

Have you tried here?

Finding OEM Mazda Part Numbers

What year vehicle? I think Mazda changed the "recommendation" once or twice.

My ms3 is a 2008 and thanks for the links, but after searching each I am still without a part number.

I don't know if Mazda actually has a specific part number. We commonly use the Ford Motorcraft XT-M5-QS fluid. I switched to that when I did my clutch about 5000mi from the original fluid, and it has been doing fine.

I am starting to agree with you that there isn't a part number for the fluid. Seems that every shop tends to do their own thing and they just try and follow Mazdas spec. Strange though as I have found several part numbers for automatic fluid. Just nothing for the manuals.

There is no part number. They simply specify grade and viscosity.

From the service manual:
