Oil Catch Can Kit

Looking to gauge interest for an oil catch can kit that would include the right amount of hose <that doesnt colapse under vacuum>, a custom bracket, PCV and all fittings. The OCC would be a filtering style. Bottom drain plug.

Priced somewhere in the $170-$200 range depending on manufacturing costs.

Looking forward to your feedback!

the_caruch 08-11-2008 08:46 AM

good idea.

i'd possibly be in for one. :)

red07 08-11-2008 09:15 AM

I would be interested.

MS6_Auburn_Fan 08-11-2008 09:41 AM

Would this be speed3 or speed6 specific? Also would it be possible to get just the hose portion if we already have a catch can awaiting install?

OCC is a universal item, therefore i think the gauge will be universal.

ATE BALLER 08-11-2008 01:41 PM

Just make sure the hose isn't cut to length then. Mounting points between the 3 and the 6 are going to be different.

PDXImportRacer 08-11-2008 07:52 PM

Well this would be a kit specificly designed for each car. To include intructions and a bracket made for that car in a specific spot. Well this is good. I will continue to pursue this then.

Keep this comments and posts for interest coming!

bacarl 08-12-2008 01:14 PM

I have the CC but might be interested in a bracket and hose kit, if it were available seperately. Otherwise I'd just get some hose and have to make up a bracket like in JimmyMac's install.

kraz3y 08-12-2008 06:26 PM

ill be interested in this but mainly for the bracket and occ

Demi 08-12-2008 07:26 PM

I would be interested and might be able to get 2 others interested with other local Speeders too.

Are these build to intercept the valve cover and intake PCV line?

superskaterxes 09-02-2008 08:12 AM

interest posted!!!! but only if it fits the MS6

bossboy 09-03-2008 12:34 PM

I am interested as well.
Most likely would pick one up if it is around that price and the kit fits the speed3 with mounting points and brackets already.

the_caruch 09-23-2008 07:25 AM

any update on this?

MazdaMan13 09-24-2008 11:24 AM

yea i mean you need more interest? seriously the longer you take the more people will make their own kits and this doesn't look good on you as company either make or not. An OCC kit is needed for our cars and the thing that has deferred alot of people is the trouble of picking a good catch can, routing the lines, mounting the occ, etc. The interest is here make it or close the thread. sorry for the rant but i'm tired of companies bullshiting us on products.

jhershorin 09-24-2008 11:52 AM

I need one so bad :(

ATE BALLER 09-24-2008 12:07 PM

Me 2.

4thStroke 09-24-2008 10:37 PM

Patience, guys. Theres a lot of shit on their table right now. Not sure what the progress is on theirs, but we did talk briefly about it last weekend, so I know they are working on it. PDX said they found a great PCV for it.

Its been a few weeks since Ive installed mine, and I still get smoke after some abuse. :-/ (Im using the Sakou Michi can and followed the How-To)

I think my seals are bad.

Death-From-A-Mile 09-24-2008 11:54 PM

4th give it some time. My suggestion is to run some Seafoam through the IM to accelerate the recovery after the CC install. Mine took 3 weeks....hell almost four before I stopped smoking.

Scott

numbnuts22715 09-25-2008 10:24 AM

Im interested as well! fuck smoking turbos

4thStroke 09-25-2008 04:42 PM

I knew yours took a while, but I didnt realize it was that long. It went on the same time as the FMIC, so its been about a month+ now. I ran seafoam through it at the same time of the OCC install. Maybe I'll try another dose of the seafoam.

PDXImportRacer 10-07-2008 01:04 PM

Catch can has been prototypes and test fitted. It is baffled and chambered. No pics yet but soon. Going into pre-prodution. More updates soon.

MadOzodi 10-07-2008 04:04 PM

Sweet! Looking forward to this.

joshms3 10-11-2008 11:49 PM

I would buy one today if it were available!!!!

MadOzodi 10-27-2008 08:02 PM

After several people claiming they were going to make a kit, someone finally went through with it:
http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...-thread-36097/
The Saikou Michi catch can he includes is the best on the market IMO

turd burglar 09-16-2009 09:18 PM

Hey sterling would this happen to be the same setup dustin and tim came up with that i got on my car?
