the sky isn't falling but everytime your car is in VAC, NOT BOOST your oil catch tank and PCV is allowing oil to enter your intake manifold thus contaminating your intake valves

I have proof, I've seen it and the only option you have is adding the OCC between yoiur PCV and intake mani
the sooner, the better in terms of pre-existing build up
Don't bother trying to vent the OEM oil seperator as you "need" the vacuum draw from the intake mani to properly evacuate the crankcase

Ok, I check my oil at least once a week so if my engine is drawing in some oil then I should see a dip in the level, right? Well my level dips only a few millimeters if that on the dipstick after 3k miles so it must be a tiny tiny bit.

I don't know, I think it's too early to speculate on these engines. I'd love to see some more tear down pics.

So im intrigued by this seafoam stuff. What do you think it will accomplish if its introduced into the manifold?

Hype? or can it clean it out and keep it clean.

Seafoam is amazing stuff. Take a gun you have fired for years. Yea, you think that shit is clean dont you? Taking precious care of your barrel on such... Not a chance in hell my gun is dirty, right? Toss some seafoam down the barrel and see how much shit comes out...

This stuff cleans motors

BTW.. Yank off the pvc valve and poor 1/3 the can down the vacuum line. 1/3 in the oil cap and 1/3 in the fuel tank. Done deal.

Is this my only choice for a fix besides WI? How hard are these cans to install for someone without a lot of car experiance? Does the OCC completely solve the problem when done correctly?

I had an OCC on my 2005 SRT-4 and you would be amazed at how much crap that can will collect. Thankfully, I installed it at like 1500 miles. Now just got to get one going on the MS3. sitting at 10,150 miles right now and can only imagine how gunked up everything is in just this short span...........

You should not notice much change in your oil level. My LS2 GTO would use about .5 quarts per oil change most of it was blow-by. out of that .5qts i would have maybe 3-4 tablespoons of oil in the catch can. That engine is known to be more of an oil eater that most.. This is my first turbo car so i could be wrong... I have 500 mi on my MS3 and i hope to get a catch can on it first thing.. followed by pimpin window tint

Sorry you are just plain WRONG turbo diesels run much hotter than comparable gas engines an they do have pcv systems just like gas engines. They also run much higher boost and static compression. Diesel cly temps are 2 to 3 x that of gas engines and so are their egts's.

The problem you see is primarily a bad pcv design.
