I would suggest getting an AP sooner rather than later, you can flash a stage1 map now and then go stage2 once you get your other parts installed.

Alright, so having only a SRI is okay for stage 1 map? I shouldnt get a mid pipe aswell?

COBBs map download site

You can download the map notes from that site which goes into detail about what supporting mods you need to run each map.

They have a map specifically for your otherwise stock car with an intake. Did you see my mention in the for sale thread? AP for $450 is a solid deal. JUMP ON IT SON!

I was hoping to put off the AP until i have the exhaust, the new internals, TP, TIP and do all at once

I had the exact same thing happening to my GEN2 after installing an aftermarket intake ( K&N RAM ).

I happen to have the AP and sent multiple logs to everybody starting from COBB and even K&N, and ended up refunding the intake because nobody came up with a straight answer as to why it was happening.

Logs indicated everything from low fuel pressure ( 800s ), to waste gate opening etc, but nobody could figure out which caused what, and how to fix it.

Some blamed it on an air leak, but if anybody ever installed a K&N SRI - it's kinda hard to screw it up and have a leak. Some said it was CDFP failing, but it wouldn't happen with stock airbox, on either stage 0 or 1 tunes, and the car is only at 10k Miles...

Things to check are definitely air leaks and fuel pressure! So you may want to get an AP for that.

One way I've found I can easily replicate the issue - is to pull 3rd gear all the way from 25-ish MPH all the way up to 7x, and it is guaranteed to happen around 5200 RPM
