Perm 5th/6th port with CP-E FMIC??

As the title says I was wondering if anyone here is running the perm 5th/6th port fuel system with a cp-e fmic? Since I went ZZB I'm rebuilding strong and looking at Perms 5th/6th port setup. My question is regarding the fitment of the intercooler piping after installing the boss pipe where the injectors go which connect at the throttle body. Since that boss pipe will be at the TB, will that miss-align the cold pipe that normally attaches to the TB in the CPE FMIC kit. I dont want to purchase this kit and then find it throws all my piping off or causes stuff to hit or not fit properly making the fuel kit useless. Can anyone chime in if your running the perm aux fuel system with a cp-e fmic or any other fmic pipe system that is the same as cpes?

Also for those of you running 5th or 6th port, were you running meth prior to the install? If so did you continue to use meth or did you get rid of it and just use the port injection setup? I dont plan on running e85 at all and i currently use meth injection so i'm trying to figure out if I should continue using meth with the port injection or get rid of meth and just run port injection with 91 and no e85?

Any feedback is appreciated @phate @Lex @djuosnteisn

Running the 5th port with pump 91 fuel won't increase your octane level which meth did. You will have lots of fueling headroom but the octane will hold you back. So either run E85 with 5th port or stick with WMI and methanol if E85 is not convenient.

So since i dont have access to 93 octane, 5th port wont benefit me much? I dont plan on running e85, just 91 octane and 5th port or 91 octane + 5th port + meth. I dont do my own tuning so i guess I'm not sure of the limiting factors of 91.

Between 91, meth, 5th port and e85 what would be my best combo to create the most efficient power? I suppose I could create an e85 map if i want to pop a few gallons in because i do have a few e85 stations within 5 miles from my house.

You should mention your power goals.
You will need either meth or E85 to max out the OEM fuel system without knock holding you back. 91 won't do it.

So if you're just going to run 91, you don't need anything additional.
If you're going to supplement with meth/E85 then you can start thinking about fueling headroom.

However because 91 there is quite poor, if you absolutely don't want to run E85 and prefer meth, invest in a nice WMI kit like the Aquamist, two-three big nozzles and a large methanol tank. That will give you the most benefit.

If you want to run E85, then consider a 5th port.

It sounds like you're not an E85 fan so you're better off going with a nice WMI kit. That in itself gives you fueling headroom and I don't see any issues having enough fueling for 450-475+whp this way.

In any case, don't buy any parts before deciding your goals and how to get there.

Thanks for the advice Alex. My goals are 450-475whp so whatever will get me there. I may just try with what I currently have and use my devils own meth setup and if that doesn't get me there then I will look into an alternate setup. I currently rum a single d07 nozzle on the cold pipe just before the throttle body. Should I consider upgrading to a higher flow nozzle like a d10 or just go straight 100% meth and keep d07 or maybe look at running dual nozzles one preturbo and one post turbo?

the thing to remember here, is going with a 6th/5th port kit will only give you more of the fuel in your gas tank. so it wont give you any more benefit than without it, other than you have more fuel headroom for more power. you need methanol or e85 in order to make power past the knock threshold on 91 as lex stated

OK cool. I've been running meth for years and works great to keep those bats way down here in AZ. Looks like I will continue with meth and possibly toss in an e85 map later on.

Definitely upgrade the nozzle to a D10.

I wouldn't run a nozzle pre turbo due to water damage to the compressor wheel.
