I find it easier to remove the valve cover, its not a must, but it allows more room and will help you avoid scratching the paint on the firewall. also remove that little heat shield in the back to avoid mangling it.

lots of PB and mapp gas ftw

with a little turbo you might be right. but with the big turbo its almost mandatory.

i still think if the vc comes off its cake. we got mine on this last time in under an hour including the vc coming on and off..... and thats WITH the bt. But that doesnt include taking the stocker off.

So what's the problem that you are having??

I've had the stock manifold off a couple times and it's pretty easy. Even without taking off the valve cover.

theres nothing really to explain, just use a breaker bar with a 14mm socket on the ones you can,and then use a flex head 14mm wrench on the others, also there is a little screw to take off.

I use a variety of wrenches and sockets. Offset 14mm, pivot head 14mm, swivel joint socket adapter, etc. As Super stated, where are you stuck?

What sort of wrenches are you using?

Ive found 2 tools that I cannot do the install without (quickly) are a 14mm offset box wrench and a 14mm swivel head ractchet wrench.

If you dont have those two tools, your doing it the hard way, or you wont get it off.

the offset box wrench is especially nice for the bottom center nut and the bottom nut closest to the turbo
Attempting the install without either of those is asking for added blood, sweat and tears

did you remove the studs from the turbo, or did you just remove the nuts from the studs?
Its a bit tricky if you dont have the studs out of the turbo flange because you have to lift up and back at the same time
the turbo studs keep the manifold from sliding back off the studs on the head

when I removed the nuts from the turbo, 2 came out with them, one snapped flush and the other remained in. luck was not with me that day

locking 2 nuts together works if you have the threads to do so, Im not sure if enough thread protrudes though
I had stud removers/stripped bolt head removers that I hammered down over the stud and was able to use a ratchet on that

whatever you do, removing the studs is best done with lots of PB blaster and heating (mapp gas or better) around the base of the stud. Dont heat the stud, just the surrounding metal that the stud is threaded into

too bad im not local, id have that shit done for ya in time for the Patriots kickoff...
do you like the dolphins? if so, it may be an even worse day for ya
