I am so glad to see that not everyone is giving up on our car and are working to get over that barrier to make more power.
Who cares how the power is made, what is all this cheating crap about with how the power gets made? If PI is what we need then lets do it.

A few times I almost gave up and traded in the car for something that had more potential but it gives us all hope that you all are working to get over that wall.
It seems like we have always been faced w/ one thing or another with this car.
If not the blown engines then it's the smoking bad turbo seals.

I told the wife, we are keeping the car no matter if the engine blows we are sticking through it and if it blows then its getting rebuilt.

I wish you all all the luck and I am sitting on the side line watching and hoping for nothing but positive things to come.

Laloosh 04-16-2009 11:10 AM

Phil, for a guy who doesnt work on his own car too much...lol your buying the wrong car brother. Like i told you that shti will run 10s at 130...1 or 2 times before it breaks and needs to be fixed....hell maybe only .5 times, meaning 7.0 in the 1/8th tow truck in the back half.

The first time it runs will be against you. The second time will be against Ron. Then it can break and chill the rest of the summer under a nice cool car cover in my moms drive way.

I can wrench on my cars its just i hate to. Doing that manifold brought back painfull memories.......

Laloosh 04-16-2009 11:23 AM

man you'll never beat me, and if you do ill pull the acura rsx my interior is better then your interior excuse....oh and build quality 2. Not the mention 3 gear vtec, when folds of the universe simply....unfold.

Your interior is nice I can't lie. Running 12 flats in a comfy BMW would be the optimal goal but i'll just buy some seat covers for my DSM and it will basically be the same thing.

I've owned a 2G (was stolen! Damn F&F movie...damn you!)
the 1G driving experience is better
the dash, console, pretty much everything is better
I jizz watching the Shep vids, it's a sick ride

as for you breaking all the time, if you are doing a low 12 to even mid 11 set up....it can be done and be somewhat reliable
you know this I'm sure...so just sayin'

I likes the DSM's!

Chris...you better call cp-e and get them crackin' on some more goodies
you gonna get raped by a SRT and 1G this season

cars is on one of the main lifts. everuybodys cursing that they need to start digging in to it. the spare head i had has been carved to kingdom come. i now have 5 full longblocks to mess around with. darrell had been attending to some family issues and has only been working every other day. and im flying to chicago tomorrow through the weekend to attend my grandmas funeral.

theres the update.

i think it starts going hardcore shortly(thats what happens when it gets into the prime spot in the facility... and i occupy that spot now..lol). the cars been there just a little over a month, so im getting antsy, but i know how things work. they have cars stacked up on top of cars with the race season getting amped up... im just trying to stay patient.

^umm, so i guess the the transmission went or something important/expensive. Probably an axle or two, maybe a new clutch. who would have guess 22-23psi and abuse would have lead to this? but as of right now i know its the right axle, inner and outer

If he wanted a fast car to strip, he should be looking at a mustang.

All I have to add is that if we get past 400 with the PI set up, it will get us to 700 just as easily.

Go out and get you a GT500 and go make 750 to the wheels on pump gas stock injectors, stock pump, stock rails, stock block, stock clutch, stock axles and stock tranny, all you need is the Kenne Bell 2.8H kit and you are there. I could do that swap in my driveway within eight hours. I seen you staring at the red edition GT500 at the dyno that day. Don't front :) J/K

Oh and if you add meth or race gas you can shoot for 1K with that set up too. Shit add some LTs and a set of MPH custom 4V cams and make 825 on pump gas all day.

Try two hours max and that includes jerking off after removing the 2.8H from the box.

Oh, the new Speed3 was a flop , barely any interest from the crowd...wonder why Mr Smiley...

Was there yesterday, i have to agree the speed 3 was shown no attention whatsoever, if mazda was there at the show, and saw how little interest there was they would know they fucked up

everyone was waiting in line for the dam camaro, i dont get it, ok it looks decent, but people act like its something so different, i can understand people have been waiting on it but dam

i sat in the new 370z and i liked that car alot more, even though n/a v6 ftl

also was in the 135i, fully loaded, very very nice, i would take that over either of them

FantasmoNegro 04-17-2009 09:29 AM

Camaro is going to be a flop. Honestly you can judge how a car is going to do by how it appeals to women. Not if they would like a guy that is driving said product, but if they themselves would drive it. All I can see is a bunch of Mullet loving bulldikes driving the new Camaro. Its too big, its too heavy and it isn't sexy in the slightest. It will flop within three years.

I hear that .. never liked them .. dont get me wrong I have seen some FAAAAST ones in the day .. hell I still have my 01 mustang GT ... dont want to sell it but I think I am going to .. love that car. :sorry:

aviator79 04-17-2009 02:09 PM

wow, you all really know how to wonder off in these threads...
start a new one when there is some news. I trust DCR to do whatever they think needs to be done and think we are all in agreement on that. Just let them do whatever it is they do to make car go fast and hopefully figure out why they blow up...
