Default Primary O2 Sensor

Just wanted to confirm the part number of the primary O2 sensor for a gen1 MS3. (2008.5).

I found via search it is L33X-18-8G1 and always heard the price was ~$300.

Searched OnlineMazdaParts and it said that "Part number L33X188G1 was superseded by part number L33X188G1B." and that the price was $201.52 and $157.16 online. The description of the item is "Oxygen sensor, mazdaspeed3, front, to 4/1/08 ". Whats with the 4/1/08?

Can anyone confirm this is the correct part number? Seems way cheaper than people were saying and I want to ensure its not the rear O2 sensor. Maybe this new revision is just 50% the cost...who knows.

Arrow Part numbers thread...

Does not list the superceded number, but some parts numbers info that may come in handy.

Link: http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...numbers-28485/

primary o2 - L33X188G1C

secondary o2 - L34B18861A

Call a reliable dealer in your area to confirm the O2 sensors for your car if no one pipes in here.

Interesting...the part number on that list is L33X-18-8G1C. So that is an even later revision (probably why it mentions up to "4/1/08"). Onlinemazdaparts lists it as "Electrical - Powertrain control - Oxygen sensor Oxygen sensor, mazdaspeed3, front, from 4/1/08 2008 - 2009" so the dates match. Once again the price is only $157.16, so much cheaper than the reported $300+

Thanks!

L33X-18-8G1B - 2007-2008
L33X-18-8G1C - 08.5+

hey, check this out. it is listing oem NGK sensors for $79.. it doesn't specify primary or secondary..

anyone have the NGK part number for the primary O2? $79 is a great price..

edit: nevermind. i searched and that is the secondary O2 sensor. the primary O2 is NGK part number 24357. NGK

further searching yields NGK oxygen sensor, NGK 24357, being sold on amazon for $140... good price for primary O2..

Anyone with the gen1 actually try the NTK/NGK 24357? Rock Auto has it for $101.

I confirmed the ntk wideband for gen 2 from rock auto is the oem gen 2 sensor for $120.

So they should be accurate for the gen 1 oem also.
