Pulled plug during OCC install 1 Attachment(s) Like the title says, I pulled one of my plugs during my OCC kit install today. Denso ITV22. How does it look? Cause to worry? This plug is from cylinder #2 (see awesome ascii diagram below below). (Passenger side)[]Coolant tank[] {Cyl1} {Cyl2} {Cyl3} {Cyl4} []Battery[] (Driver side) I put these in the car about one year ago. 10-15k miles. http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...1&d=1271536281 If you want a bigger version I can provide one. |

that i hate my car lol and since i switched to the new cobb map instead of my aggressive dyno tune it runs even worse. knocked 5.6 at wot! lol and since im locked outta my ecu like everyone else that has used the newest firmware til they come out with the new stuff. i tried the burnin the carbon off trick where u sit in neutral and rev it to 4k til it automatically returns to idle. dunno if it helped cuz i dont really drive the car hard anymore |
it doesnt turn white from knock. that looks normal to me. |
my old plugs had a nice golden brown burn. everything else ive read says white is from detonation |
if there is spotting on the plug tip then it is detonation http://www.dragstuff.com/techarticle...ark-plugs.html |
Doesn't white just mean its running lean? |
my dashhawk shows my afr's as bein in the 11's to mid 12's at wot, and stoic at 14.81 when cruising |
look at your piston tops when you pull a plug out with a flaslight, if there is little shinny fly specks, that is a sign of detonation. It might just be the light of the pic, plugs look white to me which would be lean. Your AFR's are the same as mine though, and i'm on stock tune. How did the other plugs look? |
^not tryin to thread jack lol but anyways all my plugs look the same as the plug the op has pictured above. i havent looked at my piston tops at all though |
