Default Questionable tranny

I know I haven't donated. If one of you could tell me how I'd be glad too, but anyways, heres my problem.

My tranny makes a slight grinding noise when I'm sitting in neutral idling with the clutch OUT. When I push my clutch in, the noise goes away. You can repeat this however many times you want, the grinding never stops.

Today I had my clutch fully depressed shifting from first-second, and as I put it in 2nd, it grinded the gears on me, with the clutch fully depressed.

I have a powertrain warranty still for a couple more months, is this something I should get them to fix/replace or do you think they'll shrug me off? Any suggestions on what it is would be greatly appreciated

btw it's a 2007 with 18,000KM's on it.. roughly 11k miles.

Take it to the dealer.. Sounds like a shitty throw out bearing.

...Sounds like the throwout bearing has taken a dump... Weird though with so few miles.

You have confirmed my suspicion of a throw-out bearing

I have an service appointment already set in a couple days for other issues, I'll tell them to take a look at this.

This was kinda the point of the thread, but why did I get 2 answers of a throwout bearing? I called and the service is booked to look at this issue anyways.

+1 its kinda normal. If it starts squeeking then the tob is screwed. The noise is actually the trans bearings, truck transmissions make the same sound.
