Revisited TopSpeed Motor Mounts!

TopSpeed PMM and RMM came in today. I had their PMM before and had zero problems with it, so I thought I would try them again and also their RMM.
I won't bore you with the install details of it since I've done the PMM before and the RMM is so simple and done many times before it's all the same lol.
Have not test drove it yet, starting the Liquid to Air IC install in the morning. Probably will test drive all that Saturday evening. Enjoy.
THANKS to DARKSTAR for the quick delivery!

I know when I had the TopSpeed PMM back in the day, there was no feeling difference from stock. Except it held the motor way better than stock on that side. Also the TopSpeed is a solid bushing, stock is liquid filled.

Oh, you can use the ETD (Engine Torque Damper) with this mount also!

jwdp54 07-10-2009 06:50 PM

i've had the top speed passenger mount on mine for 10k and never had any problems with it.

what durometer is the rear mount?

None, no different than stock.

sleeperstang1994 07-11-2009 07:43 AM

do any current PMM retain the Engine grounding wire? i would think the ground wire would be a good thing to retain.

aaronc7 07-11-2009 07:45 AM

pretty cool, looks like they are pretty much just beefed up stock-design-like parts. they don't make a tranny mount I take it? What tranny mount are you currently running?

Nope, you have to move it somewhere else.

No, they don't make a TMM

PTP TMM V2, been going strong for over 8000 miles!

the Nator is strong in Bio...

May the Nator be with you....always.....

karl-hungus 07-12-2009 05:37 AM

would you recommend the top speed pmm over an etd?

i already feel like the engine is tight w/ my trz's, but am always looking for my 'final' mod.

Depends on how you like vibs I guess. TopSpeed will give you the lowest vibs or even none.

thought i was done modding!!! top speed sounds like the most reliable aem pmm. muchas gracias.

bioevolve 07-12-2009 11:03 AM

Oh forgot, like all mounts you have to have the break-in periods 500-1500 miles depending on duro types for the vibes to settle.:naughty:

LMAO x 100!!!

Great write up Bio!!

karl-hungus 08-15-2009 01:20 PM

i just installed the top speed pmm. concur w/ bioevolve - it feels like the stock mount as far as vibes go (w/ trz combo). just happy to have shed the squishy stock pos.

highly recommend this mod for anyone wishing to finish the motor mount triology or to complete the cobb blue look in the engine bay.

darkstar myke, thank you for the outstanding customer service. i ordered on a sunday, it shipped monday and got it wednesday.

darkstarmotorsports 08-15-2009 04:02 PM

And the great thing about the Top Speed mounts is that you can still use a ETD with them!!!

Blackspeed 08-18-2009 06:08 AM

18psiWhiteMS3 11-07-2009 08:41 PM

does anyone else make a driver mount with the stock type design like this one. Im going to purchase this one for passenger side but i want this type of design for the other side

bioevolve 11-07-2009 09:53 PM

I haven't seen one.
TRZ is close to it I think, didn't they make a TMM?

18psiWhiteMS3 11-07-2009 09:55 PM

yes so should i get trz or im looken at PTP one

bioevolve 11-08-2009 07:00 AM

I have not had any experience with the TRZ, but PTP V2 TMM is still running great for me after 15,000+ miles.

18psiWhiteMS3 11-08-2009 07:10 AM

dude perfect, now i can ask u how u like the ptp and topspeed combo. tell me about it?? how are they together? ever since i tuned with this gt30 i have so much power i need mounts. the engine is rocking alot

bioevolve 11-08-2009 08:52 AM

Obviously your are gonna get vibrations lol.

After 500-1000+ miles after break-in period for the mount, the vibz are not bad.
Using just the TopSpeed you get little to none on vibs.
PTP TMM you will still have vibz after the break-in period but tolerable. Deceleration vibs will be present, sometimes more than you would like.
Engine will still rock but not as bad as with the stockers.
I do also have the TurbineTech Front Motor Mount and PTP Kicker mount. My motor does not move lol. But have vibz that half or most would not like, but as the miles go by the vibz are lessened. That could also be me getting used to it also lol.

I have over 290whp & 330wtq on a DynoDynamics, other Dynos will be more. My mount combo is very satisfactory for me/my setup.

Where the F@#K is CP-E's mounts?

wankular 11-08-2009 05:04 PM

nyghtryder 11-08-2009 07:37 PM

Any issues or complaints about the topspeed mounts? Im torn between these and the trz mounts but I know Im going to get alot more vibs from the trz combo.

None what so ever from me for the TopSpeed and have not heard anything bad about the either.

NJSPEED3 11-08-2009 08:14 PM

great stuff thanks bio !

18psiWhiteMS3 11-08-2009 08:18 PM

i wish they made a tranny mount. i wanna do both sides but want an equal set

bf360 11-08-2009 10:01 PM

dont waste your money on any mounts but wait for the cpe if you have to get a mount just get the pg mount for the tranny, wait for cpe and plus you really dont need the passenger side mount

18psiWhiteMS3 11-08-2009 10:07 PM

is cpe making both sides? what are they going to look like, is they goign to be solid or have some play like there rear MM design
