Safety Factor of Stock Internals
 

Hey, so I'm new to the MS3 world and I was wondering if any had any idea how much power the stock internals on the motor can handle before you need to start thinking about replacing things...?

The short answer is that it's all about the tune. You can blow an engine at stock power level with a shitty tune and there are also guys making over 500hp at the crank on stock blocks with a good tune.

I penance for my n00b question it is only fair... I shall endeavor to not be lazy and weed through the pages of search next time.

OP: Read Forzda 1's threads. That will show you what is possible on stock block and internals and sadly, as he has reported to us, how making one little mistake in a custom tune can lead to rapid disaster.

Glad to see you donated. Went too long without doing that. There's a lot of stuff available to you now that you could not see before. Read, study and learn. Have fun with your car and avoid the stupid stuff. As said, you can blow this engine at stock power level by doing stupid things and you can run safely well north of 400 whp, if you know what you are doing and you monitor, monitor, monitor.
