Shell spirax s6 75w-80 GXME
 

I've done a lot of reading it seems the Ford unicorn jizz is probably one of the best fluids for our transmission but I'm going try the shell to see how it works. I know it is primarily designed for big Volvo and Mack transmissions but it meets our GL-4 requirement and weight. I spoke to a local representative today and he is getting me the cost per quart tomorrow. The rep says the stuff is amazing but he is also getting paid to sell it. My car shifts ok now but I do get grinding when shifting hard into 3rd. I will do a long term evaluation comparing shift quality and low temperature performance with winter coming. Has anybody else tried this stuff?

I have not, but thanks for giving this a go. I look forward to your long term review. I too have wanted some correct weight alternatives for the genpu. I'm running Redline now. It's better than stock but I was not amazed like the folks who run the unicorn juice describe.

Well this was an epic fail. The shell distributor can only get it in 5 gallon pails and I'm not spending $180 for 5 gallons. Mods can close @Raider; @doubleflusher;

Go get the ford stuff. I run redline mt90 and it's like buttah.
