I also had to relocate my coolant lines as well as Rigor and Madvillain. We all run the RR mani which seems to be very close in the turbo flange location.

Did u guys just use heater hose unlike fancy pants with his welded fittings?

SilverDemon 04-25-2011 07:58 PM

Hahahaha..

Heater hose will work fine, the only suggestion I would make is to apply some silicone sealant around the pipe before you slip the hose over the tube. Use the best clamps you can find.

Spoolme 04-27-2011 08:11 PM

sick but who would have expected anything less from you

superskaterxes 04-27-2011 08:19 PM

lol what does it feel like when people ask you what IM that is?

your shit eating grin must be worth 1000 words hahahah

Spoolme 04-27-2011 08:24 PM

I can't wait for a ride.

Well you beat me by 3-4 days since i had a minor set back with my starter but she is running now!!!! Just started it this morning!! Sorry for the thread jack...

SilverDemon 04-28-2011 10:49 AM

Sweet!! nice going man!

SilverDemon 04-28-2011 06:19 PM

Damn, it feels good to drive the speed again. I put 25 miles on the car, brought it home and did an oil change, cut apart the filter and inspected, the worse thing I saw was a few pieces of sealant.....and very relieved not to see any chunky pieces... :) I will run this oil change for 1,000 miles, then start synthetic. I will also start verifying the boost control setup.....fuck I am anxious to get this thing into boost :D

djuosnteisn 04-28-2011 06:26 PM

Hahahahaha. sealant pieces >> oil squirter.

Which pistons are you running again?

SilverDemon 04-28-2011 06:27 PM

wiseco....no the squirters are safe... lol

djuosnteisn 04-29-2011 12:03 PM

Did you builder simply bend em down a bit? I have to remember to do that when i assemble lolol.

SilverDemon 04-29-2011 02:57 PM

Yes, please remember to bend the squirters out of the way. i can't remember how much he had to bend them, but it was not much...

djuosnteisn 04-29-2011 05:47 PM

I'll find out when i assemble........... if i ever fucking assemble.

Paying a visit to the molasses machinist tomorrow.

Verified Boost control

I have 500 miles on the car, clutch is beaded in nicely, so, I went out for a drive after work today. I am running a 1 bar spring in the W/G, with no boost controller, straight spring pressure. It spools and holds boost great. The boost gauge hits a brick wall at 15 psi, and I must say that I am impressed with how fast the 35r spools, and 15 psi on the 35r and 15 psi on the 2871 are worlds apart hahaha!! I am running about 11.1:1 AFR's right now....ZERO KR at this level, not to say I won't start having some problems as the power rises though.

I am still grinning from ear to ear. More updates as the tune gets more aggressive!!

spnkr21 05-11-2011 04:22 PM

I bet the 35r HATES 15psi

SilverDemon 05-11-2011 04:25 PM

Not really, 10 psi is a little off the chart, but 15 isn't too bad....now 25 will be much more like it.....

spnkr21 05-11-2011 04:30 PM

37
No I don't know. Good luck man I can't wait for vids

cld12pk2go 05-11-2011 08:46 PM

So what RPM does it reach 15PSI from a 4th gear roll?

SilverDemon 05-12-2011 03:13 AM

Good question... hahaha...I started in 3rd on all the short runs, and 10 psi could be reached by about 4200 rpm, I will have to go out and to some better roads and see what it will do in 4th.

zumin 05-12-2011 07:37 AM

break boosting??? :)

I was able to hit 20 on my BW by 4500 rpm, but that was twin scroll. And SSinstaller is able to hit 20 or so by 4000 rpm on his 35r.

I think with a 3 port solenoid, you'll be able to see quicker spool yet.

SilverDemon 05-12-2011 10:57 AM

Yes I believe you are correct. I will be going to the Perrin 3 port solenoid shortly, but for right now I am sticking with the Hallman MBC.

Enki 05-12-2011 11:08 AM

I can has intake mani?

:poke:

Worked for a few hours this evening on the boost a spark. Made a bracket for the boost switch, and made a mount to attach the amp to the frame rail above the fuel pump resister. I am not going to go through the step by step install, as that was covered in great detail on the other thread.

i can do 24psi by 3700 rpm on my ATP 3076 .55 backside ftw haha

djuosnteisn 05-16-2011 11:15 AM

Yeah, but how well can you hold it past 5500rpm, hahahahahaha :-P

Spoolme 05-17-2011 11:39 AM

can't wait to see it this weekend!!!!

Went for a drive tonight to verify the BAS was working correctly. No noticeable difference with the BAS, but, I was not having issues at this level before, so, I hope this will stop any future problems with ignition issues as the tune progresses.

I found a long straight section of road that had no other roads or driveways that intersected it. Started the pull in 4th gear, 3500rpm, 15psi came on strong just a little less than 4k (1 bar spring, no MBC), the higher load deff. decreased the spool time.

:nana:

Tokay444 05-19-2011 06:29 PM

Wouldn't they all be the same save for one with custom gear? Do you have custom gears? Is that what makes you the fastest?
