Default Squeaking/Creaking after RMM Install

Hello All,

Recently installed the SURE RMM on my 06 MS6. Feels great and I'm loving the results, but I started noticing that there is some audible squeaking/creaking during weight shifts (accel/decel). It only happens for the first few minutes of driving, after that it goes away.

Could this be due to the RMM? And if so, is it expected? Aka does it just need some time to settle? When I searched I saw a lot of posts that referenced the suspension, but I'm hesitant to think anything changed with that since I didn't touch it.

I tried to get a video of it but it was difficult to hear the sound. Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!

Make sure the bolts are tight and not bound up. Did you torque them to the correct values?

I thought I did! Well... I torqued them to 65 after making a judgement call of reading various threads with different numbers. I'll check it again and see if that helps. Thanks!

Yeah, I think 90 ft lbs is what I read, but I've also seen 70....

Where does the creak come from? Could it be one of the other motor mounts creaking now that the RMM is secure?

I think 85 ft lbs is the number from the shop manual IIRC. Generally creaking noises happen when the RMM is loose, so the point is, torque those fuckers down...

I installed my SURE RMM about a month ago with track urethane, so far no noise or any issues, I tighten it to 85lbs

I am about to put a Sure RMM on, and it does say 65ft\lbs in Sure's instructions. Is that not enough?

JBR calls for all being torqued to 60 ft/lbs but that long blot that goes through the tranny bracket. Torque that birc down to 120 ft/lbs. I know this because I had some clunking issues. That bolt was the problem.
