Timing set tools for less than $50.00

Massive Absolute Cam Timing Tool Set Pin MZR 2.0 2.3 6 | eBay

Has anyone heard of massive speed before? You know I'm always a bit leary of ebay products, but for the price it looks damn good, and not to mention it's 3 times cheaper than street unit. Sure you don't get a bling piece, but it looks like it gets the job done. Also it says it hasn't been tested for the speed, but considering it's MZR I'm sure it's the same and the kit looks similar to street units too. Let me know what you guys think.

lol. i highly doubt they will fit the speed motors.

not sure if youve ever seen a timing tool for our motors, but looking at that ebay pic, it doesnt compare remotely close to ours.

I already seen the rental tool on street unit. So yes I have seen the tool before.

there is no way the cam lock will fit and i dont know what the extra long threaded locking pin is for, those are for non turbo motors

Tabasco69 12-17-2011 08:34 PM

Hey is that a steel crank peg opposed to the cheap ass aluminum one? where did you get it?\
OP that kit is for a regular mzr, will not work on a disimzr head, different cams.....ahh cam driven mechanical fuel pump.

Noddaford 12-17-2011 10:11 PM

Will not work. nuff said.

I bought that kit years ago, the pin actually does fit but im not certain it sets the crank at tdc. The cam lock obviously isnt close.

lol WHAT?

The threaded pin is to set TDC. It's clearly shown in the FSM that it is needed to make sure the crank is exactly at TDC when setting timing!

Yes sir. Steel vs cheap ass aluminum

Can be found in my company thread. Inquire if you would like more info. Pricing is competitive as well without the pointless anodizing.

not to bring up an old thread or to mention SU.

But has anyone ever rented a tool from them. Can't beat the $49+ shipping price over buying one for over $100

You might have got the KTC kit which is still 109. Exact same kit, same blow molded case except the timing peg in the cheaper kit is AL vs steel in the KTC

Even the steel peg would bend if you didn't hold the crank so this kit is fine.

I made my own crank peg from a hardware store grade 8 bolt anyway when I borrowed silva pains kit. I'm good to go now.
