Default TIP vent ...

Hey, it's my first time posting after a few months of lurking around here and i'm in the middle of installing a TIP and my AT internals (two birds, one stone right??) I took my car to the dealer after i got the warranty letters we all got, and had them install the vent that supposedly keeps oil out of the turbo. When i went to install my Cobb TIP, i realized my new stock inlet pipe has an extra hose coming from it. i called the dealer to ask what that's all about, and im not convinced its doing me as much good as my new cobb inlet would. question is, could i simply clog up that extra vent hose going to my valve cover, or has that become an essential part of my set up ?

Side note, sorry if this has been covered, i searched a bit but obviously no luck...

Also, thanks for the help, i've already started tuning and logging thanks to the advice i get from here, you guys are awesome!

that vent from the tip IS the fix that mazda did. If you want to keep it like that but have a sri, get a corksport since that's how theirs routes.

Yeah i called and that's exactly what they told me. it didn't affect my mazdaspeed CAI, im wondering if having that fix means i don't get to install my cobb TIP, which doesn't have a connection for the new extra vent hose. i will post a pic in a second

**nevermind the pictures... no luck and no camera right now

fml nevermind. the hose coming from the inlet pipe used to connect to my CAI, which they blocked off, and now it comes straight from the TIP. great. same set up... but shorter pipe and i can't install my cobb. owned.
