yeah, but im still sure the vibes are no where close to those of the TRZ. i had the TRZ, fuck that mount. the car sounding like it was going to fall apart.

but the TS and SURE sound like they are producing around the same amount of vibes. which i dont notice unless i turn on the a/c which still isnt bad

I got 48,000 hard miles out of that mother, with a lot of tracking and a ton of hard practice launches, so can't call it a POS.

I ordered the street version and was a little surprised at the vibes. I don't know what the stiffness (durometer) rating is, but it's stiffer than I thought it would be.

Good news, and this is probably the case with the Torque Solution, which looks almost identical, is that this absolutely stopped the wheel hop on launch and I made several successful 2-3 flatshifts this a.m. on the way to work. Before I could only do that half the time. Bound to help my shitty 60 ft's. some.

I just hope the vibes do settle down a bit. It's more than just at idle with the A/C on. It is coarse when decelerating and during light throttle. Not quite a GF orgasmatron, though.
I just installed the SURE mount, purchased directly from their Web site. I only have a little over 300 miles on it. I hope it settles in and softens up a bit with further use, because the vibes are discernible, even though the center bushing is large.

I ordered the street version and was a little surprised at the vibes; it's firmer than I thought it would be.

The good news is that it has absolutely eliminated the previous drivetrain lash & windup, even with the side engine mounts still stock. I just hope the vibes do settle down with more miles. It's more than just at idle with the A/C on. It is especially noticeable at low rpm- it doesn't dampen engine lugging much.

installed....had a little trouble getting it in...would have been nicer if the cut out had been a tad longer....but overall not at all bothered by the vibes...very minimal and only periodic...also put in my jb shift plate at the same time so shifting is a breeze now with both

i am getting a bit tired of extreme vibes when down shifting and such. it's still kinda nice to here the car snarl like a beast..

anyway, what i don't want to give up is that connected, solid feel. is the ts mount solid in that department? that's what i need, just less vibes please.

thanks for the info..

Great mount! Got mine in the mail today and took me about an hour to install (I'm coming from the CS RMM inserts, which I never had a problem with, and were pretty sturdy themselves, I just wanted something a little more solid). The TS RMM is definitely more solid, the engine feels planted, and no wheel-hop at all. Vibrations are very minimal, you can feel them in the steering wheel (only when stopped at idle), and they're a little more noticeable when the a/c or defrost is on. Although there are minimal vibes, there weren't any new noises that resulted in the cabin.

Overall first impression: solid mount, minimal vibes, definitely helps put the power to the wheels without hop, worth the $130 price tag.

so you don't like the trz then? haha.
you're comments are what have me looking at other mounts. the noise in the cabin from the trz is getting a bit much..
so, out of all the mounts you've tried, what seems to offer the best performance/low noise level balance? you seem psyched on the ts one..

slightly different topic: since you weren't liking the trz vibes/noise, how do you like their trans mount? i was considering that, but the reviews said it brought even more noise into the cabin, but no more vibes.. you seem to share cabin noise level expectations with me, just thought i'd ask. thanks!

I know a lot of people are shunning cp-e now because of their price, however, I went from the TRZ to the cp-e 75 and it was a world of difference. Less vibes, easier/crisper shifts (less lash in between shifts), and still connected.

I also have the TRZ trans mount. I fucking love that thing. With the cp-e rear and TRZ trans the vibes are not bad, they are there but less so than with the TRZ rear. The TRZ was an orgasmatron for the ladies.

Also, with the trans mount, you will hear a lot of chatter from the flywheel as well as engagement of all the gears. Sounds like shit is broken, but it's not.

I'm no engineer, but common sense would say that the more bushing, the less vibes; because all of the energy is being transferred into the bushing. That said, cp-e, SURE, and Torque Solution all offer mounts with a large bushing, with cp-e being EPDM and the other two being polyurethane.

In my opinion, all are viable options and should offer similar benefits. But take a hard look at both the TS and SURE mounts as they are priced competitively.

***on a side note, those with the TRZ trans mount...when in reverse, when disengaging from after you reverse (move), do you hear a click noise? It's 2 clicks. Everything feels and operates smoothly, but I hear these clicks and ONLY when in reverse. I've had the mount on since June 2010 with no problems and I can't remember if I've always heard this.***

Haven't got a rmm yet but have been waiting to hear more opinions on the SURE, TRZ, and the CPE. Didn't know TS had one and now that i do and reading how kickass it is i think ima get this one. Just one question cause i looked on the site and didn't see any specifications about which gen it was for. Does it fit guaranteed on the gen2? if so them ima buy nxt week.

i have personally had the TRZ, still have the SU alum with the street bushing and now the TS. as for the TRZ, FUCK THAT SHIT. haha

between the SU, TS and CPE, id say they are all comparable. but the CPE is so expensive now so fuck that shit.

the TS vibes alittle more than the SU did, IMO. but they perform nearly the same.

if someone wants my SU RMM with the street bushing, ill sell for 80 shipped. jump on it Sure boost

Just one question cause i looked on the site and didn't see any specifications about which gen it was for. Does it fit guaranteed on the gen2? if so them ima buy nxt week.
all parts for MS3 are interchangeable between both gens except for cbe, fmic and CAIs

Installed this mount today and let me just say that I'm a friggin idiot for not doing it sooner. I've felt like my medievil mount want worn for some time now, but I had no idea how bad it was. As soon as I removed it the bushings fell out.

This new TS mount is awesome. Car feels as good as or better than new again. It was wet when I test drove it, but I had zero wheel hop and the car feels so much more solid now. Vibrations increased a little at idle, but are actually less in my car at speed because my motor isn't rocking back and forth anymore. Can't wait until TS has the other mounts available, I'm getting 'em.

Thanks for the heads up on this mount!

is the su rmm still solid? i'll buy if the bushing is still seated well and isn't cracked...
with it being quieter, do you feel you lose performance over trz or ts? for $80 i'm willing to check it..

Install is not hard.

Jack up car.
Place on jack stands.
Remove old mount.
Re-install with new TS mount.
Use Loc-tite.
Torque to around 90 ft/lbs.
Jack up car.
Remove jack stands.
Carefully lower car.
Take for a drive.
After a few miles (whether it be 10 or 500), re-torque.

Custom Performance Engineering Billet Motor Mount System

This will help as well. Pages 2-3. The install guide I received from cp-e said 90 ft/lbs. Lenny used 75 ft/lbs. I have the service manual, I can look it up for you. Give me a second to find it.

from what i have been reading, that is to be expected correct?

^yes, totally expected. it will change as the bushing breaks in, usually becoming smoother over time. you'll probably notice the vibes jump up periodically when you have the a/c or fan on. that's also to be expected.

aftermarket rmm's are awesome, eh?

oh yeah no doubt. i'm pretty pumped about it. i read just about everyone has experienced the same thing - it just sounds like i need to put some miles on it and let it kinda work itself in.

thanks for the insight - just cant be to sure about this kind of stuff - i'm protective of my car lol. the funny thing is, i am waiting for the dealership to get me the title so i can register the car, but i have already gotten the rmm installed and the windows tinted....

awesome!
wait until you get an intake (sri or cai), then there is more power!
this is the first car i've ever modded, and it has been damn fun. this site has so much info. be careful, if you've never modded before, it seems to be addictive.

i noticed some vibes that i referenced earlier in this thread but those have all but gone away. i notice them randomly while i idle or when i have the ac on - other than that, great replacement.

big thanks to @TRex and @08.5MS3 for the tips for easy install

Why would you pay more for a TS mount when you can get a JBR for less and support a MSF vendor too?

This new TS mount is awesome. Car feels as good as or better than new again. It was wet when I test drove it, but I had zero wheel hop and the car feels so much more solid now. Vibrations increased a little at idle, but are actually less in my car at speed because my motor isn't rocking back and forth anymore. Can't wait until TS has the other mounts available, I'm getting 'em.

Thanks for the heads up on this mount!
So I noticed you had a medieval mount... Do you know anybody who had one of their passenger motor mounts that failed? I ask because "Minerva Motorworkz" on ebay is gaining popularity here with rebranded medieval mounts and I was curious as to the quality of the mounts themselves. I ask because apparently their issue was with customer service and people are claiming now that minerva is a bunch more responsive.

Anyway, for all those reading this, go JBarone...

I didn't miss it. I just think Jbarone is superior to all the rest. Jbarone has been coming out with some great products and I just wanted to know why he would go TS and not support Jbarone, who happens to be one of the many great MSF vendors.
