Tru-boost's MS3 + nitrous ....what will happen As most of you know i am adding nitrous to my MS3. I plan on a 35-45 shot. I really dont know what to expect. I am interested to see what some of my fellow speeders think. |
Onward to victory! :AR15firing: |
I have no idea how well this will work but I wish you the nlbest of luck. Keep us updated |
I foresee a whole lot of awesome |
Nightraider88 on these forums has done 50 and 75 shots and sais its addicting...lol |
I am a fan of a small shot of nitrous, purely to cool down those horrid intake temps. more boost+nitrous+meth= love |

Any links ? |
Laloosh you rotten bastard !! You think its gonna blow !? Such little faith. |
i run nitrous a little different than most people i have a few switches, reason being i want to know the nitrous is purged and the fuel solenioid are working i always set up a fuel purge on any nitrous system i set up floor it turn it on let the car bog down from the extra fuel cut it off you know its working your good to go, i do that as a saftey since a dry shot is too volitle and dangerous. You will probably be ok with a small shot honestly, it does wonders for a turbo car honestly, but once you get up there in the horsepower range it just makes the car to hairy up on the big end of the track and you wont' like it, where your at now your fine, have fun man. Small turbo nitrous car is great, i had a 75 shot on one of my 18g b16's in 2002 and i loved it it was great. I am contemplating doing a DP setup on this car since it would look so tits sitting on top. |
Im not using any purge at all. I agree that it takes the fuel a moment to get spraying, but so does the nitrous if you dont purge it. Even if the nitrous hits a second before the fuel, a little 35-45 shot wont hurt it dry for a split second. |

Don't forget to add a FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch). :wink1: |
alot of hope in this thread lol |
i too, am considering nitrous. but ill only use it if i cant hit 400whp without it. |
I'm optimistic....it will be awesome! |

I think you'll be ok with a wet shot. But man don't mess with dry! The 6 community got bit so hard by that...almost a 100% causality list from dry shots...:( |
How do you think the stock piston rings will hold up with the nitrous. |

Thats just my guess though. I have run nitrous o. 2 other cars in the past with great success. This car is a bit tempermental, but i still predict no problems from it.... Except maybe overpowering my stock clutch. |

u will be fine i did a dry shot( started with a 35 ended with a 70 to 80 shot) the 35 shot was used with just a cai, afrs barely changed from 10 flats(pre nos) to 10.5(nos). and the hi shot with cai, exh, and cpe standback tuned, tmic. afrs were in the mid to high 11s with my street tune i did. |

i sold it when my car was down for 2 months at the dealer for warranty work for a defect in the cylinder head. and no i never got to spray it at the track. i ran that 13.6@104mph with just and mscai and open downpipe. |

That is a good time. I was getting 14.1's all stock. When i has MS cai, race pipe, and a motor mount i was getting 13.6's too. Then the more parts i added the ET stayed the same but the traps went up..... No traction. Once i added slicks i went from 13.6 to 12.8 ! I have more bolt ons and nitrois this year.... There WILL be 11's damn it !! |
Do the homework and you'll be fine. If you go cheap you're going to fry the engine. |
I think it will run like the wind !!! GO MAN GO .!!!!  let us know how it goes !!! ... |
