turbine tech front engine mount? I did a quick search and it didn't yield much. Does anyone currently run one? |
I had it on my car way back in aught-seven... one of the first things I did on the car. Ultimately it did its job, but it was bulky and prevents you from running a FMIC. It added some vibration, but it wasn't much more than an upgraded rear mount. A stiffer rear mount is all you really need... and I have slicks for the strip now so wheel hop isn't a problem for me. If you REALLY don't want your engine to move you could go this route, or look into one of those engine torque dampers. Because it was bulky, and ultimately unnecessary, I wouldn't recommend it... spend your money elsewhere. |
works good Currently have one that I bought used from a member. Get a bit more vibes in cab at certain rpms around 2k then it goes away. PITA to install with no hand tos or lift but got it done. Good mod a bit pricey but well made Just my 2c:196: |
I think a lot of speed6 guys have them, not too many speed3's. |
Yea when I searched for etd the front eng mount came up. I am gonna hold off on the etd for now. Gotta read more on how loud it makes the car. |
I got one on my ms6 and with the combination of my bs delete it viberates the shit out of my car! |
its seems like a legit piece but if you want a front mount i believe its a no go |
Judging by what speed3 guys are saying im gonna save my coin and put it else ware. i might try the etd at some point but I will be gettting my tmz on friday to replace my inserts so it should be good. |
I just installed mine today and i love it. my car feels so much more responsive. i have a 70 durometer AWR rear engine mount. Im not sure how it feels with the ac on as yet. its cold up here. As long as you follow the instructions you should have no problem on the install. it took me 3 hours, doing it on ramps. just my 2 cents |
i just got one a couple days ago from a guy on this forum. I installed and freakin love it!!! try StreetUnit.com - Premier MAZDASPEED Performance Specialists they have them, dont know if they have in stock though. edit* the noise level in my car has definitely increased, but i dont mind it. everyday cruising its barely any louder, just the biggest difference is when i floor it! |
