Turbocharge cars with out intercooler?
 
alright so my mother wanted to check out this ford flex crossover shit car lol anyways there is one that is ecoboost twin turbo, i opened the hood no intercooler? same for the ford Taurus turbocharge??? am i missing something? lol

You can usually run a little boost without an intercooler, think supercharger. However, once you get past a certain point, the air temps must be brought back down to normal via intercooling.

Yeah, I found it in a thread with people talking about the motor leaning out and blowing up. Sounds familiar...

yeah i read a little on the engine - pretty cool stuff
apparently that di system is even more complex then ours - from my understanding it actually switches up when it injects to different points throughout the combustion cycle depending on what kind of operational mode it's in
i'm sure some stupid pi experienced tuners are playing with it and failing
