Well.... Was at the drag strip tonight and launched it hard and this was the result... lol..

The flex mesh itself came out of the flange if the picture isn't clear enough..

Well good news is I called up TurboXS and spoke with Jermaine, he obviously knew about the issue in the first set of RP's and no questions asked ordered me a replacement... Atleast it was a simple replacement :)

ev0nstispanka 06-05-2008 11:57 PM

WOW...i was going to order txs dp and rp. fuck that. im going with cs now. havent herd anything bad about them. yet.

clos561 06-16-2008 11:11 AM

why do you even need that mesh part in there?

- MINI cat?

kingpin748 06-16-2008 11:42 AM

Allows flex in the system.

Ryz 06-17-2008 08:26 AM

The replacement is an entirely new flex section. The only thing that causes it to break in the first place is way crazy wheel hop.

ARrGH!!!

This needs to have either a ball/swivel joint on it or use the factory springs and washers. I suspect we will start to see more and more of these failing.

It really doesn't what flex you use, They are not designed to see flex that far away from the motor. Our motors move way to much since we are on a fixed 3 mount system. You could use a 10" long flex section and they are still going to break overtime.

Wheel hop doesn't justify why the part broke, build it right and it will not break.

Ryz 06-27-2008 08:04 AM

I actually sent them an email over a year ago asking why the flex is at the rear instead of the front and they couldnt answer.
