Default Valve cleaning at 91k miles...

Pulled the intake mani of today and blasted those valves using this method:

HOW TO: Clean your valves - easy & cheap

Deviations from above procedure:

1) The 1" ID tube got in the way so I didn't use it the way it was used in the above procedure; Just held it close to the gun. Got walnut all over the place but whatever - worked really well.
2) had to soak twice and blast a LOT due to the fact that this has never been done and the carbon build-up was crazy.
3) Used a dentist pick to get the tough spots around the stem and seat (I highly recommend this)

Took me all day because I've never removed the intake mani before and the valves were in really bad shape. Luckily I had a friend help with removing everything and putting it back together. I also installed a JBR SSP and a forge v2 bpv. I cleaned the EGR tube and valve as well because I don't have it blocked off unfortunately.

Initial Impressions:
The car feels so much smoother and feels like it pulls harder at high RPMs. SSP is awesome and I really like the forge BPV. Learned a lot and definitely glad I did all of this. I went on a 180 mile trip after and nothing blew up, no CEL, and no parts falling off on the highway!

EDIT: Sorry if some pics show up sideways.

Nice, I did the same thing with the stupid clear tube. It just got in the way.

There is a pic of after... That's why the image is titled "clean valve"

For 91k on it, does not look bad at all. Seen 35k pu with a cone of carbon.
