vroom vroom BOOM!?

i heard about boosting at 3k rpm cause the rods to wear prematurely causing the motor to blow. anyone else heard about this happening?

taf0422 07-31-2010 07:37 PM

If you have to ask.....

just search...searching is your friend...hell usually just ask another speed owner

wankular 07-31-2010 07:45 PM

I've never heard that. Thanks for the warning.

03scgt 07-31-2010 07:51 PM

i hear that every speed has a built in life counter,so basically when you get into boost its like playing mortal kombat and having goro punch you in the face

smitty5788 07-31-2010 08:44 PM

I'm glad i am now informed of this ... It's a shame no one knew this before tonight, could have saved a lot of people's cars ....

amateurs tuning and messing with atr makes a car go boom.
not taking car of your car makes a car go boom

I normally WOT @ 2500rpms in 5th and 6th gear for optimal "fwd thrust". Try it.

dont listen to these guys, the key is flooring it always....... if u maintain enough momentum on the rotating mass of the engine there is absolutely zero danger.

think of it like a rubber band,....as long as u keep stretching it back and forth it stays healthy... the second u just cruise and dont go WOT the parts stale out and soon enough boom

GOD I HOPE YOU ARE KIDDING DUDE!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!

dizzin9 08-01-2010 08:35 AM

how to drive your fucking car:

1) common sense saves.
2) boost when NEEDED.
3) these don't mix: low rpm, high gear, and boost.
4) open your glove box for more air flow.
5) always honk your horn 3-5 times at start-up that way you are releasing excess pressure from your blow-off valve. you don't want to stress your blow-off valve.
6) putting a used condom filled with jizz on your tailpipe WILL NOT add 5 hp.

Ok, so I know I'll probably get raped for saying this, but...

The poor SOB is probably just new here, is new to a boosted car, and is asking a question because he wants some info.

Yes he could have searched around a little and found this out, but he is new and didn't realize it.

I'm basing all this on him being new. I hope he is, or my point is shit. Using Tapatalk so I can't tell.

So anyway, yeah. Boosting at low RPM's is bad. Done. Jesus.
