| Not Ranked : 0 score best bet is strip off your aftermarket parts to stock and then take it to the dealer unless you have already slept with mazda's manager... then you dont need to worry about that.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Not to keep an old thread going, but had a quick question. I got my 2008 with 14k on it, and as I understand the warranty "should" transfer over to me, and is good till 30k? Highly doubt I will be taking it in there, but someone to keep in the back of my mind in case it starts the smoking issue. Also, @tricky. I had a state cop busting my balls for exhaust, and as I found out there is a certain way that they have to test your exhaust. The cop was saying that my stock exhaust on my crx si was too loud and so were my friend's cars, simply by listening with his ear, he could tell it was over 93db. I don't know what the laws are in other states, but I think it's fairly close between states. This is how you test it in Oregon. 1: Put the vechile in park 2: Get a Decibel meter 3: Place the Decibel meter at the same height as the exhaust. Usually 12-16 inches off the ground. 4: Place the unit so it is either 60-72 inches behind the vehicle. 5: With no load on the engine, slowly rev the motor up to 2500 rpm and hold it there while the decibel is measured. If it's over 93 then you're in violation. If not, you're good. My friend had no exhaust after the cat on his integra with a b16 in it, and his was only 91 db. |
