Where to put EGT sensor in PG Manifold

Well, I think I'm finally going to be installing the v1 Protege Garage manifold that's been sitting in my garage for about 6 months. Before it goes in, I'd like to install an EGT gauge and get it Swain coated (to ensure that the runner closest to the turbo outlet doesn't melt any tubing, etc...). I would have liked to put the sensor in the collector, but the welds are all very close in that area and I don't wanna compromise the weld strength. For anyone who has this manifold, where did you place the sensor? Also, when would be a better time to get the piece coated, before or after the EGT sensor hole is tapped?
