While changing my spark plugs. So I was changing my spark plugs today and when I look into my intercooler I see this: http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/21/8amy4era.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/21/hapebeby.jpg I don't think that's normal for it to be that dirty. The car doesn't smoke at all. |
Time for an OCC. |
OCC?? |

Thank you guys. |
I had exactly the same thing. I assumed it was oil that was cooked into carbon dust. |
Occ isn't going to do anything for oil in the intercooler hotside... |

Seals could be leaking on the compressor side but not enough to smoke... or you could have excessive blow by. I'd pull your TIP and check for oil from the VC hose |
are you catted? |

Ok. Running two oem cats will mask A LOT of smoke. |
Oh ok, we'll I'll pull the tip this weekend and see. |
Do a compression and leak down test. |

Quick update: Took off my air box, and I can see the stain of oil coming from the vacuum hose. I did a compression test and all cylinders would go up to 210 at every interval then taper down to 180 and hold it (+/- 2). |
As in the other thread, something is wrong with your gauge if it's "tapering down" as you say. Assuming you didn't run a leak down test. |
