white spark plug tips
 
So my car keeps knockin all the damn time, 1.4 at the highest generally .4-.7 some say not much to worry about but its startin to piss me off and it cant be good happenin all the time. anyways my new plugs are gapped to .28 and they are all burnt white from the knockin and shit, so do i need new ones?

im too lazy to get pics right now lol but if u know what white looks like then apply that to spark plug tips.

lol. hmmm. pics would still be helpful...

i'm not 100% on what a "white" tip means. it may actually imply that you're running rich. i used this website as a reference, where "carbon fouled" has a white tip.

a knock of 1.4 may not be the end of the world. hitting 1.4 every time you go WOT is not ideal, but i often read that 2 or higher is where bad things happen. you can always verify your tune, modifications, all hose clamps are TIGHT, etc. good luck!

well ive got forged guts so its no a HUGE concern, and the 1.4 occurs when i start movin sometimes. i had the dealer pressure test the system today, no leaks. so i dunno

Are you logging this? I thought dry white tips meant lean... But what do I know... Log and watch your afr's
