Yeah I know. My comment was directed at Tobasco; while ram/cowl induction generally isn't needed on forced induction applications, you will see it applied in applications where every horsepower is scraped up and tossed in the engine such as drag racing.

Pretty much disregarding the OP at this point.

Let me ask you a question, would you ever run your tc daily driver without having a filter on it.....that ram crap where they ount an unfiltered tc right infront of the vehicle at a track, with a car that is built to run down a track only, yeah I guess that's cool but knowing that so much as a twig gets sucked up into compressor while it is turning 100-200k rpm and that little twig could bend or shatter the inducer/exducer ruining a $1000 plus tc, and then sending shrapnel through your intake and into your engine....hmmm FUCK ram air

You know it's possible to have ram air AND an air filter, right? They aren't mutually exclusive.

I was speaking of the drag strip set-up somebody brought up, ram air though to me is kind of a bitch because of the fact forced ram air into the intake will also introduce a lot of water under the right conditions, got to be some pretty good engineering going on to prevent one but aloow the other is all I 'am saying

I believe the intake of the ram air
in a grand am/prix was placed directly behind the headlight which would block the majority of debris but still allow significant air flow. Did it make a huge difference? That I'm not sure of. Apparently not since we smoke 'em anyway..

I didn't read all of this, but saw that it is in regards to a fucking retard op and also to a "ram air".

1) The corksport is not a true ram air
2) an sri is much better than the cs ram air... even for a gen two which has the hood scoop
3) Even a true ram air only gets gains at high speeds
4) corsksport ram air was a gimmick which caused fucked up maf cal and is for noobs (which I was (still kinda am) when I bought it)
5) No, you will not hydrolock from it. I had it on for 6 months and drove through all sorts of snow and heavy heavy rain. I also was not careful to avoid it while washing my car.

EDIT: one of my best mods was going bt cuz it forced me to get rid of the piece of shit... It's in my garage and i should put it up for sale for some dumb ass like op

if you mean by the fact they both have 4 wheels and ram air hood scoops, then sure, they look identical.

I think we've covered all the bases on this one fellas.

while it could be beneficial, you're chasing ghosts as there are several other ways to get power than developing a one-off ram air setup.
