Trap door is very effective for a race car that meets "specific" needs. They (teams and builders) normally build pans for particular tracks that have a higher or lower "hold volume" in the trap. You would have to build a specific pan to meet the needs of the car/track its running on in order to get the most out of it. Keep in mind that very few street driven cars run pans like this, of which I am sure that you know the reasons why.

I'm gonna install my PTP kit this weekend. BSD and windage tray. And if i can grow the balls i'll cut the ring gear too. Thats scary shit !
