The plugs look fine, although #3 still shows signs of detonation. It's always been like that though. I do tend to drive a little harder than I need to; not quite likeI stole it but not like a granny either.

One other thing that may or may not matter: I had just put gas/e85 in the tank just 15 minutes before she blew. I put 4 gallons e85 and drove about 5 miles before I could find a gas station that would take a check, so for tha short period of time I was running a bit high on the ethanol side. I babied it though, didn't think it would be that much of a problem at the time if it was just for a short distance.

I believe so...if I am not mistaken..the EGR is full open on cold start and warm up so more bs is getting recirculated and that's when you were seeing more PT KR.

I am not an EGR expert my any means...lol all I know is there is a valve that the ECU opens to recirc exhaust gases...don't' know when or how it actuates that valve.

I disconnected my EGR just a week or two ago....

Eth had nothing to do with it...the ECU would have trimmed up to keep AFR correct and if beyond 25% would have thrown a CEL.

so you say #3 plug looked like deto had been occurring all the time an you didn't think to yourself .."maybe I should investigate further"

can you post close up pics of all the plugs and label them?

I tried to take pics before but they never came out. It's grayish; kinda crusty. The armature I mean. And the piston, I can see it; it looks pretty clean. The other pistons....not so much.

Maybe the term "detonation" is a bit strong; I don't know. It's always been kinda white-ish or gray though. I thought that was lean and due to the number 3 runner flowing so much better?

deto will crack the insulator...possibly to the point it falls into the chamber and pit all the metal parts.

it will look like a fork pulled out of a garbage disposal...lol if deto is bad and prolonged enough.

When the rod exited the block it looks like it knocked the oil feed line to the turbo loose.
