I get it. There's a recall for it, so call the dealership and ask if it was done. Apparently it was done to my car (so they say) but it still comes on. Bascically it gets stuck in cold weather and throws the CEL. It does nothing to the performance or have any ill effects. And this is coming straight from mazda. I just clear it with my dashhawk when I get somewhere that i'll be parked at for a while and then it'll be gone.

Edit: it apparently only gets stuck for a second and thats it.

I just recently bought a 2010 MS3 and at 250 Miles I got the CEL. The code was P2006. The dealer worked with the mazda engineers for a few days and decided to replace the entire intake manifold with a new one. The dealer said that this was a common error code on the older MS3, however this was the first 2010 car that they or the engineers had seen this issue. They replaced the manifold and the car has been running great since (knock on wood). All the work was done under warranty, although it did take about a week for the dealer to get the issue resolved.
