Default Darton dry sleeves installation

I am about to install Darton dry sleeves for my MZR DISI block. The exact pn is 300-051. I contacted Darton and requested installation instructions (attached). The instructions call for 0.000 - +0.001 clearance between the block ID and sleeve OD, which is in contrary to all the other sources I have so far contacted, including Darton's own web site/technical material which states that dry sleeves are always installed with an interference fit, in a case of aluminium block and ductile iron sleeves, 0.005 - 0.015 interference with 100°F temperature differential.

If anyone has actually installed Darton 300 sleeves for Mazda engine, please help.

Darton's product catalogue, see page 47 for information about dry sleeves: https://dartonsleeves.com/pdf/dsCatalogue2018-web.pdf

I helped Darton prototype sleeves for the MZR-DISI block, my understanding from the limited communication that I got back from them was that the MZR-DISI block is fundamentally different from the MZR block even though they appear virtually identical. The sleeves will work in the MZR-DISI block. However, I believe that, and this is from memory from several years ago, the problem is two fold:

1) MZR-DISI oem sleeves have a wave pattern around the outside and are cast in place in the block. So, once you mill out enough to remove them the block the block is structurally weaker than before and the mill can have difficultly milling the different metals 100% straight.

2) The MZR-DISI sleeves do not seal to the head like the Darton sleeves, so the Darton sleeves have to be 100% flush and straight to the block which is nearly impossible for most machinists to achieve.

Personally, I wouldn't have anyone except Darton install them.

I also remember some sort of cooling issue where the Darton sleeves didn't cool as well as OEM, but don't quote me on that as it was a long time ago.
