Talking Deleted balance shaft

Finally decided to pull the oil pan and remove the monster!
Only took an hour and a half to complete so not bad. I used the F2 kit.
Motor seems to rev a little faster, but def can feel the extra vibration at idle and higher rpms. All said and done, just the piece of mind that it gives me that im not stressing #3 anymore is well worth it! Now i need a windage tray.

i also did the bsd without doing the windage tray or baffle...
contemplated it real hard, bought a baffle and ended up getting rid of it.
bsd is enough for me.

I did the spin-on filter (best mod ever) and the delete and baffle about 40k miles ago.

I also made a hole to actually get the filter off without removing the undertray, something Mazda neglected to do.

yeah no problem man.
i also have the spin on done.
what i meant op, was that even though taking the pan off and putting it back on isn't difficult, i couldn't really justify doing it again to do the baffle/windage

Are those of you without a baffle/windage tray monitoring your oil pressure at all? Does it drop when you take an extended fast corner, like an on/off ramp? I'm interested in doing the BSD soon when I do my spin-on conversion, but I don't know if buying the baffle/windage tray is worth the $75 (F2 w/shipping) or $104 (PTP w/shipping).

I did the BSD, windage tray, and spin on conversion with only 1500mi on the clock. Hardly noticed any difference, but it did feel a bit healthier at higher rpms.

i don't monitor oil pressure, but about half of the oil pan (in the middle where the bsd was) isn't covered by the stock baffles. after seeing that, i felt good about going w/ f2's baffle. ptp's looks better but i couldn't justify the price.

highly recommend the spin on conversion when you do the bsd. bigger pita but worth it.

what sealant did you end up using when you put the pan back on?
