Fluid in bell housing 1 Attachment(s) So I think when I did my BSD I had some old oil drip into the bell housing housing. Not sure if it's significant or not. I looked through my shop manual and all the DIY's on how how to change the clutch and I never see anyone mention about draining the fluid out of this part. I know that the tranny has a drain and fill bolt but, I'm not sure if fluid should be in this part of the casing. See the picture below. I loosened this bolt and fluid came out. Smelt kinda like the MT-90 that is in my transmission. But IDK if that's was it is or what's suppose to be in there. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
So from searching around on other forums it seems that the only way mt-90 got into the bell housing is if the seal between the transmission and the bell housing is leaking. And from what i gather and honeatly assumed this isnt good for the clutch. |
