Default Hose barb cap and factory oil cooler hose dia

I need a non philly approved way to block off some factory hose barbs that go to the coolant system. Anyone have some ideas?

I also need the factory hose diameter on the input and output of the oil cooler, I assume they are the same diameter and I assume they are the same diameter as the input of the thermostat, but I want to make sure.

don't use a zip tie.
don't put a bolt in and clamp it.
don't substitute a battery for the bolt.
how about a rubber stopper?
or vacuum line caps?
no clue on the id, but if you're talking about the big shit, my guess would be 5/8.
if it's smaller, then 3/8.

I've been trying to find some of those rubber caps that were supplied with PTP's IM gasket for the TB coolant bypass, but I can't find them anywhere around town.

Man im afraid that might crack and dump coolant all over the place, I was hoping for maybe a heavy duty version of that.

instead of capping the coolant line going to the oil cooler, could you buy a male to male hose barb that is the right diameter and connect the hoses together??? Safe, but not clean looking.

If the coolant hose going into the oil cooler is 5/8" then I dont have to cap anything, I can just cut the oil cooler circuit out completely and go from the coolant pipe that comes from the trans area, straight to the barb on the thermostat, instead of going through the oil cooler as it does now.
