Default Metalon - Maybe a Zoom Zoom Boom solution?

Hi everyone,
Last weekend I spoke with a guy who works as a boat mechanic engineer. And we started to talk about engine differences between cars and ships... Then he told me about this "Metalon" stuff... and I was like "Oh! Did you meant Methanol?" and he was like "No! It's metalon..."

It's a product that it's been used since a few decades on boats. It's somekind of oil additive that makes any type of metal to compress making it stronger and avoid from breaking. Like a reinforcement.

I know what you guys are going to say... "Bah! It's a mexican product, I rather get some burritos from Taco Bell!" lol, but I'm starting to believe in this shit.

Here's some info I got from their website:

What is METALON?
METALON is an antifriction product whose main ingredient is Teflon.
METALON is not additive for oil. It adheres to all microporosities of the
metals, giving the surfaces exposed to friction a treatment, preventing them and
getting as result longer useful life of your equipments. Is resistant to
temperatures up to 700°F (370°C), and the only thing that can remove it is the
abrasion caused by oil contaminated by carbon, dust, metalline debries, etc., as
well as for higher temperatures

How it works?
METALON works everywhere is friction, that produces, by which
it adheres to the metal, forming a lubricant film that remains
for an indefinite period of time.

What is its use?
METALON is used to lubricate by oil to any type of equipment lubricated by oil
or grase, any type of internal combustion engine, as of gasoline, diesel or gas, as
well as any component of industrial machinery: transmissions, differentials,
reduction housings of any type or size, hydraulic systems, as well as bearing
grease for industrial type equipments, construction, agriculture, marines, etc.,
with very attractive benefits.

How is it applied?
METALON is very easy and simple to apply, because of its proper
presentations, duly bottled for any engine or component. The base material is
dosed and dissolved in lubricant oils as mean, to be added to the engine or
component. We supply presentations with the proper dose of METALON for
every oil capacity of the system, according to your needs.

With what frecuency has to be applied?
METALON, once applied, is recommended to use in the following way:
construction, mining, agricultural engines, every 2,500 hours of service:
marine engines every 3,000 hours; automotive engines, every 25,000 miles
(40,000 kilometers); components of industrial equipments, every 4,000 hours.

Which are the benefits?
Using METALON you will get benefits as:
*Better fuel output
*Longer useful life of your engine or component
*More power
*Better availability of your equipments
*Less cost of maintenance
*Less frequent oil changes

Why?
METALON is one the finest lubricants known, and once adhered it prevents
touches metal against metal in critical moments, and when in cold operation
protects your engine against wrong procedures as cold accelerations,
excess of RPM, stops of the engine when is very hot, etc.
METALON helps you to control normal operating temperatures, because
prevents the friction.

Why do you save by using METALON?
You will note reductions in fuel consumption, maintenance expenses of your
units or machinery, as well as for better availability of your equipments,
for not having the necessity to visit the shop for maintenances.
With all our infrastructure we are able tl offer our services to the following
industries:
*Heavy-Duty Diesel-Gas engines and their components, of low, medium
and high speeds (industrials, marines and automotives), and parts supply
per your choice upon request.
*Marine and vessels industry: merchant, passenger fishing, suppliers,
tankers, ferries, construction, and oil rigs (rigid and submarine).
*Other industries: textile, paper, glass, plastics, press and printing,
chemical, electronic, cement, steel, petrochemistry, electric generation,
mining, construction, etc.

My friend told me that you have to add 4 cm2 (cubic centimeters) for every liter your engine gets... So that'll be like:

1.57480315 in for every 0.264 galon

6 quarts = 5.68 liters

5.68*4cc = 22.7cc

22.7cc = ~1.5 tablespoons

seems like very little to go round inside an engine

Sounds like the same snake oil as Slick 50, Prolong, Motor UP, Z-Max, Dura Lube.
I'm sure the literature/testimonials of those products are similar to this, where either the claimed gains are difficult to quantify using any kind of standardized testing or the drawbacks outweigh the benefits at best.

Stay away form Teflon. If you have ever owned a set of Teflon pots and pans, you know that they are great when new, but it starts to chip with age. Those chips eventually clog your oil system.
