Pretty sure my plugs are done... What caused this?
 

These are the Denso ITV 22's I pulled out of my MS3... I WAS gonna put them on my 6, but I don't think that would be wise LOL. I looked for spark plug related threads on the forum, but couldn't find any that still had the pics of the plugs for reference...


I was having issues with the speed 3, and could not diagnose it... but I had been trying to find a 6 for awhile so I just passed my fail to the next owner..... I know, dick move....

The diodes and armatures look exactly as they should and the porcelain is the color you want it to be....am i missing something?

are those white spots? IIRC...don't quote me, detonation/knock is usually indicated by white spots. If that's just whitish/tan, not so sure it's bad....but if you were getting kr, knock is knock.

how many miles when you yanked 'em?

Whats up with the black shit all over them? these only have maybe 8k miles on them and my stock plugs had NO soot/black shit on the tips after 35k miles!?!?

The black is just carbon buildup from combustion, the areas with black on them have nothing to do with performance of the plug.

I will look more closely at them when I get back home. and take some better pics of them. I was wondering wtf all that soot was!
