Default stuttering under load-stock car

need some help on this one... car is a completely mechanically stock speed6 with ~100,000 miles on the clock. haven't had any problems with the car to date, with the exception of a wheel bearing. recently my commute has changed, and i see 80mph cruising speeds. occasionally when i pass someone, leaving it in 6th, or dropping to 5th, the car will accelerate, but will buck and hesitate, I'll let off, then get back on and all is well. this all happen in under 3 seconds. I've cleaned the EGR valve, just in case, and no oil in the intake track, MAF is clean. plugs have ~15k on them, denso's, stock heat range. i bought an accessport to data log, thinking it was the HPFP taking a dump from age, however the logs look fine to me, 1600+ psi at throttle. anything i can clean or look at to narrow it down? the odd thing is, going from a start, and running up the gears, i don't have an issue....

Its probably the primary dp o2 sensor... I'm on my phone, but there are a couple threads about it if you search... I think one is called "am I the only one concerned about this?"

Could also be simple things... Boost/vaccuum leak, dirty maf....

Question MS3 severe stutter 1st-5th unless turning left

Hi all
I have an '08 MS3 and had some issues with stuttering turning right last week. Dealership recalibrated ECM and it went away for 2 days. Today (Sunday of course!) extreme stuttering/misfire going straight or curving/turning right. Seems to go away when turning left.
Dealer was stumped..any ideas? Could SWAS be causing my issue if it is malfunctioning? O2 sensor working outside normal range, but likely caused by misfires imo.
Thanks for any ideas.
Doug.

1) you posted in the ms6 sub forum
2) you posted in a completely different thread
3) you must have searched because you know what SWAS is, but you didnt post in those threads
4) go make an actual thread in the correct area and correct generation
5) win

hyjacking terd nuggit!

Go take you post maf hoses apart and look for leaks/cracks. make sure everything is clamped and clamped tight when reinstalling.

now try it out.

if it still does it clean the MAF.

now try it out.

if it still does it go buy an AP to see if we can see abnormalities. Yes could be DP sensor. how old r plugs?

Only fix 1 thing at a time; or do 1 thing at a time to rule things out. if you fix a bunch of shit and it works you never know what was truly broken!
