thats what i thought but then i read a post somewhere which i can't find now that explained where the ap is taking its boost reading from and the poster suggested that actual boost levels might be higher which would explain what i am seeing on the gauge but i am not sure, and like i said can't find that post

depends where the gauge is taking the reading from versus where the map sensor that is stock is taking the reading from. I would trust the stock map sensor more.

Before I installed my gauge I tested it against a NIST certified gauge and it was about 1-2 psi lower. Maybe yours is the same way

are you running anything like the ATP boost cut killer? that will mess with your ecu and cobb AP readings.

also, where do you have the boost gauge tapped into? that makes a difference too

the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, which is located in the intake manifold, far passenger side, before the runners. A lot of guys are getting boost gauge signals from same line that runs to the bpv, which is off the number 4 runner. Back of the manifold/stock MAP sensor is probably a better location and a better average number to go off of.

Yeah i have prosport, same thing but mine reads lower all the time. The highest I've seen the gauge go is like 16ish but then I pull up the ap datalog and shows that I'm hitting 18 or 19, who knows.

If there is a voltage differential between where you grounded the sender and where you grounded the gauge it can cause this. It's best to ground both at the same location.
