Default CP-E TMIC - What BAT's should I have with this?

It's been around 60 here lately. That's warmer than it should be this time of year. And I'm seeing BAT's close to 100 degrees at times. I did a log and BAT's dipped initially but by around 5500 (IIRC) they begain to raise. Does the hood not have enough room to help disipate the heat from around the intercooler? I'm seriously starting to question the efficiency of the intercooler. I'm really beginning to think my stock unit was more efficient.

Do you still have your weather stripping up near the wiper cowl in tact?

I can't imagine, I'm boosting 19+ all the way to redline.

I doubt the stocker cooled any better, and the cp-e should be much less restrictive. Before I went meth my SU was averaging 20+ over ambient. Maybe put the stocker back on and see what it does, you might have something else going on generating more heat in your engine bay.

Not sure what BAT's are supposed to look like exactly but mine are about the same and I have a fmic. 19psi is the upper end of the efficiency range for the ko4 so it will naturally produce heat as result. Any body else have input?

The TMIC will be poorer at cooling than an FMIC - especially since the bottom of it is constantly heated by the engine. This is the biggest issue by far.

It is 60 here today and I am seeing about the same thing with my CPE. 90-100s BATs while cruising, dropping maybe 5-10 degrees during WOT but then starting to climb again around the end of the pull.

I agree the TMIC just isn't going to cool as well and it will only get worse over the summer. I mainly think that it will cool about as well, maybe slightly better than stock but be less restrictive than stock to work the turbo a little bit less. If you are really concerned, FMIC and/or meth is going to be a much better option.

I went ahead and removed the weather stripping at the back of the hood like finkle suggests and it seems to help just a little. This spring I plan to get some heat reflective tape and cover the back end tank and maybe the bottom of the front. I think I read someone says that helps with the heat soak a tad. Can't hurt for a few bucks worth of tape.

In 60 degree weather I'm ussually around 100 bat at low speeds on my ets tmic. If I start a pull at 80 bat it climbs to around 105 or so by redline at 19psi. I don't have the shroud on right now and no heat sheild on manifold so that dosnt help. For summer I may wrap my manifold and set up wind shield washer squirters to squirt water on the tmic

When the car sits at a light the bat climbs pretty quick from all the heat rising

EDIT: last summer on the stocker I was seeing bats near 140 while sitting in staging at the drag strip, shit sucks
