Default How much can the K04 blow?

Hey guys, I know it's been covered and I've read that the K04 usually peaks around 285 g/s which is generally what I've seen from my datalogs however in the log I attached I get up to 298 g/s which is certainly the most I've ever gotten out of it. Not sure if thats necessarily a good thing cause it's just blowing hot air at that point. Anyway, ambient temp was around 33 degrees, from the looks of things it looks like I need a better intercooler.

Yup got into 4th and temps shot up. My most recent log also hit about 290. But yea at the top end its just heat. I have meth and im seeing the tops trying to fight it.

I flow ~ 260 g/s in my logs and VD says that is ~ 330 whp. I don't trust g/s values (in that I don't feel they directly correlate to whp)

Ive hit around 330-340 g/s in the cooler ambients with my stock ic and turbo. Bucker is right because with me flowing 340g/s vd only shows around 315whp with the 1.01 cf.

Definitely not a 1:1 type correlation. On my car in the 600's it seems to be close, but it seems based on the results posted for bolt-ons, these numbers (~260g/s ~330HP) are fairly consistent.

i agree, i see from 250-260 g/s and am around 320whp and 400wtq

What I really love is when I spray and make ~400/500 VD and g/s is still 260-270 lol.

Wheel spin? Thats the only thing to cause mine to spike crazy high.

Also, 360 g/s and around 370hp/380tq on VD. Tune isn't finished though. still boost to stabilize and timing to add.

MAF Voltage is a FAR better indicator of flow level.

Also, you'll make more on E vs Meth especially when using a top mount.

I hit a peak of ~250g/s, staying mostly in the high 240s, on my last Dynojet run, which ended up with the whp/wtq figures in my sig.

270g/s making 305-310whp on VD.
A guy over here was hitting 315g/s in his 6, with intake, corksport ramair ic and catted downpipe.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to ask how efficiently are you flowing, as opposed to how much?

300g/s and about 4.5V on the MAF if I remember correctly. On E50.

Remember guys; if you scaled your MAF for meth or E85, your g/s will be bloated.

This will help if comparing a Borg Warner map vs. Garrett Maps.

I wish the two used the same unit of measurement, but unfortunately that is not the case.

The red hashes are in terms of lbs/min like we are used to seeing on the Garrett maps.

Many people overspin the compressor. LOL.

There isn't really too much of an issue with that if spraying meth / running e85, but I find it does pay on pump gas to stay within the comp map.

I really do believe that is why Lex was able to squeeze 300 hp out of that one tune that was done under autocross rules (couldn't tweak the boost).

I hit 310-320 g's on every log, and I still have a lot of timing that is not utilized.. Its a pretty conservation tune. That virtual dyno I don't believe at all.. Trys to say I have 360hp or some bull..
