Sounds like its been taken care of.

I was going to make one with injector bungs for traditionally mounted injectors so you can add fuel without using the direct injection system.

Not really, I dont know that the PTP one is going to be available within the next year. The CP-e IM has apparently been in the rapid prototype stage for months with no progress.

Vivid is supposidly making a IM spacer with injector bungs, I dont know what the hold up on that is.

You might contact Phantom3, he has a very good design for a IM with a carbon fiber plenum. If the carbon fiber areas could be converted to aluminum it would be a ready made design.

There are options for porting the stock IM.... The stock IM has a 25% flow imbalance between the lowest and highest flowing runner... so its pretty much crappy.

Leen, the guy they mentioned above (Phantom) with the carbon fiber IM designs, happens to be the fella I sent the latest prototype exhaust manifold to. You two should def get together and just knock this shit out.

Didn't Race Roots make an im with port injection? I thought that was what they used on the car in the mystery track video??
And yeah when I bought the last thing I got from CPE, I got this little card that had a picture of really good looking im - When will that thing exist?

I have the MAP ported IM and I tested it for them (dynos are up in their vendor section)

Its nothing short of amazing quality work....

They're trying to get a group buy going but interest seems to have petered out. A ported stock IM should flow plenty for most peoples power goals.

I talked to John at PTP and he told me about the flow results from ported stock intake. There really isn't anything to gain with a custom intake as far as I can tell.

yea ...that is nonsense on johns part if he really said there is nothing to be gained...

maybe he don't want another company (steedspeed) being more competition for an IM..

if it's true.. CP-E and PTP...who else?

even a MAP ported IM can only use a stock TB ported out from 60mm to 63mm..

so I would think that a true custom IM that can fit a huge TB would show more then a noticable difference when tuned for over the stock IM ported...

I love that you are building your own stuff. It's good to see. That's how I got started by building every single piece of my projects right down to the Wastegates and fuel pressure regulators. I had no money then but skills and plenty of time.
