(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'm just posting this to get a second opinion, to check and see if my logic is correct. I was driving along the other day, when suddenly I noticed an unusual woosh sound coming from the engine compartment, from a different area than my tip. I also noticed it seemed down on power, so I plugged in my AP and saw that I was only getting 10psi max, when I am set to hit 18psi. I assumed it was a boost leak, as I got closer to home the car seemed to idle more and more erratically and by the time I got home I had a trouble code. I don't remember the trouble code off the top of my head, but It was for a lean condition on... bank 2, if i remember correctly. I just tallied up the lean trouble code to the boost leak. I did the boost leak check trick with the PVC pipe cap and tire valve stem and found approximately where I was leaking. I later found out that the line going from the intake manifold to the oil catch can I installed a few months ago was ripped. Everything on the intake manifold where I felt/heard the leak coming from looks good. I am thinking the broken catch can line between the can and intake is where my issue is. Does this sound correct? Thanks for any help |
