Do you have a boost/vacuum gauge? If so, what in/hg is it reading at idle?

well, it sounds like a leak somewhere.
and, i don't think disconnecting the neg terminal for 2 minutes is enough to reset. 15-20 is more like it.
but...rough idle is normally a leak somewhere.
were you in the engine bay for any reason lately?
did something get loosened?
check the couplers for the tmic...check the hoses on the valve. good luck

Do you mean 1,000 and 800 RPM? My car idles at about 750-800 normally when fully warmed if I recall. Your vacuum should be about 20-22 in/Hg at a warm idle. If it's significantly lower than that, you've got a leak.

I looked at my car today at idle. It's idling at 750 RPM. Granted, it's smooth, but it's at 750 RPM.
