Default This stupid itch wont go away!

got the itch and it wont freaking go away! i need someones help scratching it!

budget involved i would like to be somewhere around 800-1200 so that leads me to the BNR S3 new but if i can pic up a good deal used, that would be great too!

Looking for full set ups, no "buy this turbo, find that mani, then this inlet" want to get what i can in one shot. if my budget is just to low then i guess i have to wait......

My car is a daily driver, so the 3076 is out of the question, ill blow something, worried about the 71 also for the same reason, really looking at the GT28 or BNR S3. Have 95K on the car and really cant afford to blow the motor (well i can but my wife will kill me).

I would be running a 30% E85 mix with the turbo, 400awhp would be freaking awsome but sure that wont happen with the MS6, 350-375 would be good. any feedback? Lex atvfreek for tuning suggestions.....

you can blow the motor with a k04 just as easily with bad tuning. i think youd be better going off with a slightly bigger turbo like the 71 and having it work less to give you the "conservative" gains you are looking for.

The BNR after core exchange is 1100, so that is pushing close to the end of your budget, but will get you to your 350hp power goal. I would also get a 3bar map and PNP harness, that's 100 and then you will also want a 3"maf to free up the intake side a bit. The CAI you have now will support about 24psi on the BNR, so that isn't an immediate necessity. So the way I see it, BNR 1100, 3bar map and harness 100, keeps you in budget.

As always thanks for the input. I can always wait Ann's save more if that is what is needed. I know you can blow your engine with a bad tune and stupid driving, that is why I have a stratified tune and would gladly pay for the re tuning.

I see your point in going 3071 and not demanding to much from it, I just think that is buying a bunch of hp and parts that won't ever get used fully, I know there is no such thing as a budget built turbo but that is what I Am trying to do.

Of course eric@edgeautosports just sold his set up within my budget and didn't offer it to Me first but that's ok. I'm guessing they don't normally come up for sale on here often

a BT is definitely way out of my budget right now, but i just advised the 71 on the idea that even if you don't use it to its full potential, you might want to/afford it later on down the road. of course, your situation could be different. i fully understand the budget thing as well, lol... scrounging here just to get some h&r coilovers.

For a daily, I wouldn't want to run 400whp, it's asking a lot from the motor on day to day basis.

350-370 is a good place to be and the BNR with E85 will get you there.

The must haves are the turbo in this case. Everything else bolts up and the E85 will take care of any cooling requirements. For boost control there may be a few choices and we'll have to discuss that.

If tuned at 22psi (max of stock MAP sensor) then you will push 20-30 g/s more than the K04 so account for 30-40whp on top of where you are today without swapping the MAP sensor. This is in the summer. In the winter you get another 15whp due to colder air Since you're already sitting at 315whp in the summer, you're already at your 350whp goal with just swapping the turbo and us retuning for the BNR in the summer - more in the winter. For 370 you will need 2-3more psi and a 3 bar map sensor.
