Default Correct Motive Power Bleeder Adapter

Bleeding the brakes is a dreadful job for most. However using a power bleeder really speeds things along and ensure firm pedals .

I use the Motive product because it's cheap, available, and works well.

What hasn't been documented is what adapter to use with this power bleeder in our cars. Turns out our fluid reservoir is the same as most European ones. So here is the kit to buy that fits the MS3 including the adapter and bleeder:

Been doing the pump method for a long time until I got to do my 951's slave cylinder. 3 hours, even using a vacuum pump, and still no clutch pressure.

I bought the motive product and was done in 15 minutes. Just can't beat the speed and ease using something like this.

i have a motive bleeder too, pretty awesome. just watch how much fluid is in the reservoir!!!

therpmstore has had the correct part listed for a pretty long time (where i bought mine).

Well this is only of use if you are changing all the brake fluid at once, right?
If you just bleed a little at a time you still got to pump and hold or use speed bleeders, no?

i have the stupid universal adapter for my motive, its ok but a pain in the ass to seat correctly and not have it leak.

Nope, it can work for any amount of bleeding of the hydraulic system. Fill canister with fluid, pressurize, open the bleeder of choice. Let some fluid come out, closer bleeder. Done.

ohh ahh. I thought it worked by creating a vacuum in the canister and then sucking the fluid from the reservoir, not pressurizing it in. Clearly I was fatally erroneous. I thought it worked on the same principle as my Pela oil extractor.
Not a bad little apparatus after all then.

One thing to emphasize with these pressure bleeders is you HAVE to pump slowly! No fun tasting brake fluid from a ruptured reservoir.

My cap just popped off when I pumped fast, made a fucking mess. Brake fluid sucks.

What pressure is everyone using bleed the brakes? 12-15psi is good for the fronts, but even at 18-20psi the rear calipers flow much more slowly than the fronts.
