Default Done being slammed

I bought my speed6 a little more than a year ago and the previous owner had BC Coilovers installed on the car. I didn't like them at first but became a little more tolerant of them in time. 1 year later, I still notice them EVERY time I take the car out. I'm done with them.

As you can see, this shit is slammed and it's hard. Both front and back wheels are higher than the fender line. I even paid a local shop to raise them up as much as possible and soften them, and still no luck.

My options are:

Keep BC Coils on
Re-Install stock suspension (which I have in my garage)
Re-install stock struts with aftermarket lowering springs
buy bilstein or koni struts and put on aftermarket springs.

The coils will be sold if removed

This car won't see the track. Goals are improved comfort and driveability (softer ride, less scraping the front end and exhaust). Don't know if I want a complete flip from BC's to Stock setup either. I don't like the stock monster truck look.

looking for pics and opinions on:
bilsteins struts?
koni yellows struts?
auto exe springs?
h&r springs?

Any input or pictures of your setups would be amazing! Thanks in advance

I hate all the different Ohio city taxes, including Mentor.

RPM Street springs and Bilstein dampers.

there was almost no change from the shops efforts at raising the coils though it did lift a little. I tend to agree with you that this may not be the highest setting. Or perhaps it is and it was set softer? No idea. Either way, I'm not paying another $100 to raise it 1/4 of an inch.

rpm group buy? i thought it was mere speculation or thread revival or something. thanks for the heads up. anyone know for sure?

Bilsteins with OEM springs would be my vote. Or stick with the OEM suspension. I don't recommend Konis unless you're willing to part with the OEM strut housing.

I find it hard to believe this is the HIGHEST setting for this coilover. The shop you went to is probably retarded (or smart for taking your $100 and do nothing to your car) and i believe you just turn the knob for the fronts if you wanna lower/raise the suspension.

If nothing happens, then there's something wrong. Your shit is slammed so no wonder it's riding hard.

yeah anyone who has bc coils will tell you that that shit is slammmmmmmmmmmmmmmed. i personally dont have em on my 6 but have seen a few with them and they have had a lot more clearance than that. cant even put a finger between that gap.

i would just do a little research and try to adjust the bc coils yourself. make them softer and raise it up a bit before you go replacing a very good coil over.

i would just do a little research and try to adjust the bc coils yourself. make them softer and raise it up a bit before you go replacing a very good coil over.
actually this is slammed lol

the rears are as low as they go and the fronts are just high enough that my UCA doesent hit the shock tower lol

it doesnt matter what ride height the car is, it should not ride like shit since BC's arent a droop style coilover.

No matter what ride height you are at, you maintain full shock travel.

Turn the adjustment knob to full soft.

Max ride height is almost as high as stock, which is enough to go rock climbing basically.

I thought that was only true of the base 6. MS6 is 15% heavier IIRC.

No, I paid them to take the wheels off and change the height. Even brought them install instructions and the wrenches. Fuckin cocks.

Lets get this straight fellas, you cannot change the height by turning that adjuster. To change the height you have to take the wheel off and adjust. I can manage turning that softness/hardness adjuster... Not a fucking retard. Though, I must admit, I don't know where the adjustment for the rear softness is located. I pulled some of my trunks lining away and couldn't find them.

That because a trap door was never cut from the interior to get to them. For a MS3, You would have to unbolt the sway back on both sides then drop the two nuts holding the rear shock in. Pull the whole assembly downward to get to the knob. I know you guys with the 6 have a bit more going on in the rear section but i dont think it would be all that different in your case. Thats why it pays to have the remote adjustable knobs for any coilover system for this car.

No matter what ride height you are at, you maintain full shock travel.

Turn the adjustment knob to full soft.

Max ride height is almost as high as stock, which is enough to go rock climbing basically.
I love how everyone acts like the stock ride height is SUV high. When I first bought the car I went on a dirt road that was very doable in my old Accord at a reasonable speed, and with the MS6 I had to angle HARD on even small bumps, and even then it would often bottom out or scrape. Stop acting like this is a fucking jeep, because you really are all just making shit up at this point.

Thats why it pays to have the remote adjustable knobs for any coilover system for this car.
The speed 6 rear coilovers are a side adjusted unit.

All he has to do is take the wheel off and look up and the adjustment knob is there. Rear Extenders do not work on the car.

He may not even have to take the wheel off, since I can just reach up from under the car and do it even when I'm slammed.

I just messed with some BC coils over the weekend... They can go much higher than that... The shop prob thought that was the highest point cause there is a rubber guard around the threads(above the perch spinny thing) and makes it look like that's the limit.
